Yeah, I end up using the EVF most of the time. Glad you like your X100, I miss mine.

Hopefully Fuji's next firmware update is able to improve more of that again smile.gif
Why did you sell it off? sad.gif

QUOTE(sniper on the roof @ Feb 23 2012, 01:30 PM)
Don't quite understand this part. Why optical viewfinder lousy in low light when its just reflected light?  unsure.gif
*
I'm not entirely sure on this one. It's just disappointing that majority of the AF doesn't hit under low-light situations UNLESS I move back a few feet then it's able to focus.

QUOTE(seech @ Feb 23 2012, 07:35 PM)
I think bcos the OVF depends on ambient light and in low light situations it may be difficult to view the scene whereas the EVF will gain up in low light making it easier to view the scene.

I think....
*
Funny thing is, DSLRs or majority of the cameras that has OVF has no problem in AF under Low Light Situation. :/

Thanks. Good to hear you got your X100 back. Hope the SAB problem doesn't strike my camera. Will try to post more pics when I have something worthy of posting.

Just be prepared for the SAB, its luck of the draw really, other than that, I have no issues with the camera, in fact I love it.

Haha not sure about that one, I just use the 8gb class 4 sandisk card I got for free. I didn't notice any slowdowns. Maybe someone else can answer that.

The X100 is very sensitive to card speed. Class 4 is ok but start up and camera lock up while writing to the card is quite slow. I switched to a UHS-1 45mbps card initially and it was a HUGE improvement. Recently got a 95mbps card and it's even better.

My advice... Get the fastest card you can afford. For the X100, it makes a difference. Btw, make sure you format the card in camera and always lock the card before plugging it into a card reader. Some programs write hidden files onto the SD card which could also slow down the X100.

Quirky camera but I love it!
