True. Do you feel the Auto WB is a little off though? Just my eyes I guess  hmm.gif

Yep, of course, I'd say I have to adjust most of the pictures just a tad. Just like you say. A little off.

So how do you adjust them? From PP or in-camera?

Just change the K temperature in WB settings. If not, I just use Lightroom. Most of the time, its Lightroom.

Doesn't Temperature control in Lightroom almost useless from using JPEG picture?

Well I'm no pro either. Just stating my opinion, that's all smile.gif

Looks like I'm very much satisfied with the purchase of the X100. smile.gif
The details are staggering! The only disappointment that I really felt for me is the fact that the Optical Viewfinder is lousy when taking in majority of the low light situation which forces me to switch to EVF.
Sort of destroys the whole purpose sad.gif

Nevertheless, it's RM3200 compared to RM5000 (roughly) + the price of the lens for the X-pro-1. smile.gif

Yeah, I end up using the EVF most of the time. Glad you like your X100, I miss mine.

Don't quite understand this part. Why optical viewfinder lousy in low light when its just reflected light? unsure.gif

Sniper, may I ask, what type of settings do you go with, for your street shots?

Whatever's the quickest... depending on the camera or lens or light or what I want it to look like.

Any specific scenarios?

Hmm, for daytime street shots, what about focus? And do you shoot from the hip? For X100 that is. I particularly enjoy viewing through your BW street photography.

Ah...OK.. Thanks and glad you liked it.

The recent B&W are shot with the Oly XZ1... most of the time on P mode and ISO100-200 and just compensate with +/-EV.
They're shot like how anyone would shoot a compact lo biggrin.gif Shooting from the hip is good for a different look especially with wider angles.

I think bcos the OVF depends on ambient light and in low light situations it may be difficult to view the scene whereas the EVF will gain up in low light making it easier to view the scene.

I think....

Oly XZ1? Ahhh, the first camera in my wishlist, didn't know how it changed to X100 lol. I read in the other thread its a great RAW shooter. +/- EV? When do you use that? Sorry, I'm still learning the X100, coming from the G7, its a big jump for me. I still wonder what's the difference of using exposure compensation compared to setting the aperture/shutterspeed to control exposure.

It's same concept across all cameras that measures exposure via its build in lightmeter.

Exposure compensation like the name says.... is to compensate for exposure.. to force the camera to under or over expose.
