what does it mean that it doesn't seem to focus? and it keeps on giving you AF? care to explain what r u trying to say? unless if its set to manual focus, other than that it shall be in an AF mode..

Maybe its too close, you either need macro mode or manual mode, focus and shoot.

30 sec exposure
cheapo fader ND filter

waiting for mechanical shutter release cable for Bulb mode

the AF isn't that great. as for me it seems to be focusing more on whites and bright areas more than others. and turning on macro seems to work for closeups. setting the AF to focus on the center (instead of having it hunting focus automatically) so you can half-press to focus then position the angle seems to do the trick for me.

well, i'm planning to get i myself a X100 for street photography. i was wondering is it possible to setting the contrast level for monochrome ? i love high contrast monochrome like the daido moriyama photography. Can anyone help me ? thank you very much.
