hi guys....
im a nex 5 user..would like to know wat does this mean? Available from mid-October, a firmware update adds fresh functionality to the NEX-5/NEX-3. Autofocus operation is now supported when using A-mount SAM and SSM lenses with the optional LA-EA1 Mount Adaptor. There’s also a new custom function that allows assignment to buttons of frequently-used functions, plus a new function to record movies with setup aperture. thank you |

on a side note, the "economy" primes (35, 50, 85) are all equipped with SAM, meaning with the A-E adapter, it should be able to AF on the NEX
wonder how would be the optical performance like |

QUOTE Mr. Toru Katsumodo (Senior General Manager in Sony’s Imaging division) said that: “the advanced model DSLR we were promised at PMA this year will use translucent mirror technology. Like the a55 and a33, this model will utilize full-time phase-detect AF with an electronic viewfinder for extremely fast focus and shooting performance. Other details revealed about the camera are that it will use a CMOS sensor and offer full HD video recording in AVCHD. so has sony determine their future? |

8tvt: No vignetting from the LA-EA1.
shootkk: They would probably put the articulating LCD in - all the video-recording Alphas (including the NEX series) have articulated screens. Strik3: According to this: http://www.engadget.com/photos/asas/#3386150 Aperture is set before recording, and is maintained during video recording. A funny typo in another slide says the Carl Zeiss 24mm F2.0 SSM is a SAL24F20G. Wonka: #1 is almost there; that thing in the bottom is a bit distracting. Love the light on the tuner pegs - get a macro of that? cjlai: Nice, it looks like there was a piano! Kul | Mo0: Nice but nicer without the other flower. ahpingko: LOL in #2 it looks like the parrot is calling "wei come take picture" but the other parrot tak layan. Just wish it wasn't so cropped. I like #5 also. Try to get the personality of these animals. It will be fun! yuhi: Get the macaroons from directly above in the box. evilhomura89: For now, yes. It seems that the A700 replacement we have seen, will be an A77. We don't know what they will do in 2011 and 2012 though! |
