i manage to learn how to work around the 3 screw. it will take more time if u screw up the corner calibration... and u wan to avoid that. i calibrate by 90 degree straight, coz 45degree no feel... then i shoot on a subject i prepare hang in the air, with all AF points, if all is sharp, then only i test it on the 'focus chart' because sometimes, the focus chart is not really errr 100%, rely on subject is better because its more like 'practical' is there. and i always tune a little front focus... so more of front is sharp then back (who wans to see the back)ear, hair or watever behind which u cant see it in the first place) is sharp?

lwliam: No, you really have to give more light to the sensor - by exposing 4x the shutter speed of the +2 shot.

zstan: No need dump lah. Work within the limitations, or fix the backfocus.

ieR: That is a good question too since the AF sensors are on top! That said, having 14x magnification while manual focusing will make life a lot easier.

clivengu: You can, to some extent, do manual exposure;

1) set to manual focus
2) set the aperture
3) set the EV (this will affect shutter speed)

On the contrary, it will be able to use 1/4000s if there is enough light at F1.4 ISO100.

Yes when AF is on, video will be at F3.5, not F1.4. It is a technical limitation because of the AF sensors.

These week heavily poison by Cinematic DSLR .... my mind certainly comes for A55V but several point makes me stop down when comes to advance mode and format of bit rate (NEX/A33/A55 seems to be secondly weaker than Canon and the hacked GH series)

I really interested on NEX VG-10 as well but its bloody pricey that I really cannot afford for RM8k

I'm thinking about Canon 60D also but when talks about the lens of choice with expensive price, I cried T.T ...

Maybe I'm too interested to doing film on DSLR just because I felt that A55V definitely won't last me longer when I am serious for filming

Also, that is not an A550 because of the front dial position. It is definitely in the A200/A300/A350 series; more likely an A300/A350 from the way he is holding it like it has Live View.

yuhi: Are you sure he was paid? He could just look 'official'. That said, if he was going by a "pay = number of photos * X" it would be odd; I'd usually charge by a "pay = fixed rate based on morning/afternoon/evening block of time". Your friend should still be paying the paid photographer (if he dumped him on the spot after you offered photos for free, that is unethical on him) and if a paid photographer leaves just because somebody else is taking pictures for free, even though he (paid photographer) is asked to cover the event, that is also unprofessional.

In the meantime, we too must be considerate and give way for the official photographer.

I like #2, but #4 could have the tree cloned out, and #5 could have been closer.
