QUOTE(BuFung @ Nov 22 2010, 06:43 PM) it need a very strong spring to hold both of them firmly like 1 piece.... like the N97 is really firm... hope the Z same too.. but some review say it is not... Spring doesn't last for too long. and DZ is using another mechanism, it's a Z-hinge. not slide but more like 'lift and drop' type. and no locking mechanism. Go check out some youtube videos on DZ. The phone is really slim if compare to most slide-out big screen QWERTY keyboard phones. And it feels really solid when hold, no cheap plastic feel. Sometime try to micro scroll the links in website and jumping back in texting. But I use the touchscreen most of the time. This post has been edited by philippecr: Nov 23 2010, 12:47 AM |

trackpad like a touchpad in laptop... much more accurate than touching the screen or D-pad...

QUOTE(BuFung @ Nov 23 2010, 10:10 AM) If depends on the situation and what's being displayed on the screen. If there's a button on the screen, it's much faster to just touch it rather than scroll to it with a D-pad or trackpad. The only times I've found the trackpad on my Hero useful is when selecting text. But that doesn't happen and I can usually select text too by touching the screen except when the text is very small. |

QUOTE(BuFung @ Nov 23 2010, 10:18 AM) Yup, but you didn't say in which situations it would be more accurate or helpful. Also one of the main disadvantages on a screen full with buttons is that it's slower because you have to scroll to the button you want. In such a situation a simple touch on the touchscreen would be more faster and accurate because it's direct.Added on November 23, 2010, 10:49 am QUOTE(spunkberry @ Nov 23 2010, 10:18 AM) you post pictures like we've never seen it before. Although he could have put some of them in a [ spoiler ] tag. Anyway it's not really spam since it's related to the topic. Also, the one you posted is the G2 This post has been edited by Andrew Lim: Nov 23 2010, 10:49 AM |

QUOTE(Narako @ Nov 23 2010, 12:00 AM) got it from Madman. with receipt and all la.. now sellin it for desire HD. guess i cant live without 4.3 inc screen True i seldom use the trackpad, in fact hardly use at all. overall user experience is fantastic on desire z. i feel unique just by using it. hahaha. the new HTC Sense has brought android UI to a whole new level, especially on web browsing and multitasking! now i dont have to press menu->windows to jump from one page to another, and no more long press home button ! hehe |
