QUOTE(DJFoo000 @ Jan 13 2011, 08:36 PM) @boris, self restart is a common issue, as in it's not frequent, but it will happen (even on other models of Android), and nothing is wrong. Sometimes it due to the phone confusing itself and require a cool down. Haha Self restart happens to my nexus loads of times Regarding the sleeping beauty, the common way of dealing with it is to bring it to dealer the moment it happens. If it happens once, you can choose to observe, but the moment it happens a 2nd time it's recommended you take it in for a swap. It will either never happen on your phone, or will keep occurring from time to time. This is based on glances of a few threads about it on the internet. (still it's only 2 months since the phone started selling, so an appropriate pool of data might not have accumulated yet) Funny thing is I have not encountered that in my Legend for a very long time already |

QUOTE(boris @ Jan 14 2011, 04:15 PM) Mine happened when I was using the GPS, and it caused me to miss a junction. Haha.. I remembered when my cheap china GPS ran out of battery mid-destination when I was at Johor Hopefully this weekend I can read up on how to root the phone. It will be fun if I can learn how to use custom ROMs after that. Guys, show me some light! |

QUOTE(DJFoo000 @ Jan 17 2011, 03:49 PM) ^It has been mentioned many times by the LYN staff that due to the way the forum is made (something to do with it being outdated), it is near impossible to make an LYN app like XDA. If I'm correct, to get an app like XDA would need the forum to support TapaTalk (which is the actual app anyways). And I think this forum is kind of too big... WTF type out my username so big. I exams now. After exams I got mood then I make a draft la. hahahaha |

QUOTE(DJFoo000 @ Jan 17 2011, 03:58 PM) ^yaya tapatalk support or something along the lines of that. But meh a simple browser shortcut to LYN is good enough, right? These apps for websites are basically mobile versions of the website, right? Well, Launcher Pro and ADW Launcher already allow shortcuts of websites to be placed on the home screen.. I dunno. I love Engadget, but I never thought of downloading the Engadget App. Androids are capable of rendering full sites without a hitch anyway. hahaha. Anyways, try out NY Times, its one of the best news app one could want for a phone (at least to me). The articles can be read offline, not to mention theres loads to read about I hate the fact that our very own Star didn't bother making an app for android though, I loved the one in my iPad |

QUOTE(DJFoo000 @ Jan 17 2011, 04:09 PM) ^The Star got Android app la IIRC. Type in 'malaysia' in the search box. That app, although its Star, is not made by them. Its an aggregated news app made by someone else.Or you meant the app sucks? you lost me there lol. And yes, it sucks. Well, it used to not suck, until for no reason now the app does not even open an article anymore. Meaning you get news, but just the headings and thats it |

QUOTE(deslim @ Jan 17 2011, 04:19 PM) I think i can do it by defining lotsa regular expression, cleaning up all the unnecessary HTML tags, or maybe just load the mobile version for display, but use the apps input text box for posting. I'll try to find a way around this. Oh well, counting on you then bro. |

QUOTE(DJFoo000 @ Jan 20 2011, 02:24 PM) Usually owners' list only show ppl name and nothing else. How often you really want to look at the owners' list of a thread? Right? haha Our owners' list will be both an e-penis gallery (or e-boob in the case of spunkberry I'm trying my best not to laugh.. calex you got Desire Z liao? How come your e-penis gallery only show N1 and legend? I've been using a Z for two weeks, but its not mine. Just a loan from my friend cause I have not decided what to upgrade to yet |

I never liked Samsung ever since I had my Omnia HD. Horrible support for such a promising phone (*then)
The one thing I miss from Nokia is their superb speaker quality (5800). Other than that, meh. |

QUOTE(DJFoo000 @ Jan 20 2011, 05:19 PM) but on a serious note, 41LY45, you serious about the captivate ah? There won't be much local support in LYN. You will have to slip in among the Galaxy S users. Well, doesn't the back of the captivate still say Galaxy S? |

QUOTE(41LY45 @ Jan 20 2011, 05:24 PM) Think so man. Well, somebody need to get the ball rolling rite? That i will do, and will be refering to the xda devs threads. Doesn't really matter, as GS ROMs normally are ported to the Captivate too courtesy of XDA Added on January 20, 2011, 5:26 pm Same hardware maa. But ROMs are not compatible, thats for sure. |

QUOTE(Dixon93 @ Jan 21 2011, 12:13 AM) sup everyone, i just flash my desire z to virtuous ROM. i just wondering You know, 840MB is way more than enough for installing stuff.. The internal storage available after i installed some games is around 840MB. Which somehow i feel it might not enough for me in future. So you guys have any ideas which can add the feature of something like data2sd? Since i own a 16gb card. Even app2sd usually only has a partition of 1GB total, your Z already has 1.5GB internal memory in the first place, so thats not really needed either. |
