would u buy a phone cant call or receive phone call smoothly which is cost u 2.5-3k?this is the major hold back for most of my fren buy i4.ps:i didnt influence my fren to dun buy i4 har.i everyday promote retina display and able to play FUll HD video tim.

If your friend really like Apple product or the app/games. Maybe ask them to consider:
32GB i4 = almost 3K

Why not:
iPod Touch 4 32GB = 1.1K++

They still got > 1.5K to spend on "real" smartphones.

Now they can enjoy both products. It's not worth paying additional > 1.5K just to get the "phone function".

But if someone were to look for a phone with a very good camera, and don't mind much about performance, SGS and i4 lost its ground.

Ok about the call problem, its the J0b$ stupidness. Now they may have realise their fault and starting to ship with redesign phone as i read from the web.

Actually , so far i heard from locals is that they don't have any problem on reception/signal whatsoever. Looks like its only in the US.

which is a singapore set, the nearest we can get from malaysia .

so they go for 3gs+DC or whatsoever matching.3k comes with lots of problem=kesan of proudness of SJ.

Besides, the brand is strong and many Malaysians are brand concious; Carring iPhone is like carrying branded bags, LV, Prada, Gu Ci, etc. Some doesn't care how good or bad it is, they just want it, it's the trend, must have.
Once my friend's brother spotted one of my friend's iPhone and he was like "OMG!!!! iPhone!!!!!".
I never experience or see such scenario before with any other brands, not even Sony Ericson.

iPod Touch 4 is only around RM1.1K, and it's authorised set from Apple Malaysia with warranty by Apple Malaysia.
Compared with iPhone4 SG Set, it's still means paying > 1K for the "phone function".

To me, it's too expensive; I can buy iPod Touch 4, and get another HTC Wildfire or N900 AP Set or many other real smartphones.

i would buy a 3310 and another DC.lol.

N8 is both a smart phone and a camera, so I laugh back at them.

True; it depends on the person whether he think worth spending additional > 1k or > 1.5k just for the extra phone function.

It's not a small amount to many people, but usually people that is brand conscious are also usually willing to spend more or are more loaded.

I'm just giving an example of a choice which may not come across the mind of some people. The decision is still up the to person.
The iPod Touch4 not necessary to carry always, as the purpose to carry is just for the games/apps, just like having a PSP. Plus, let's say the person gets a smartphone, it already does most of the job. The main advantage of iOS is the apps/games.
