Yeah, I was planning to sell off my Mazda 2 sedan (4 months old) after I change the steering shaft in a few days time. Just got an email from sc that they had found a solution to fix the shaft and ask me to send it to them asap.

They actually REPLIED your email? WOWO

2-steering intermediate shaft - producing sound when swerving steering to either side - changed n solved
3-a sounds like absorber n body touched when hitting bumps - reassemble the front absorber - solved...

Hi guys,

For owners who have changed their Mazda 2 tyres to other brands, is there better grip when braking?
I have a feeling that the standard Dunlop Sport 2050 has poor braking performance, what do you guys think?

As for thunking sound, check the dampers & bushings, plus the CV joints just to be sure.

Sharing few prob of my M2 also:

1. Burnt Smell - SOLVED, when done my 2nd service.

2. Aircond Temp. Knob (not smooth when turning d knob)
- CLAIMED new one, 2nd service.

3. Front break rubbing sound (actually in a low voice only, can hear when turn off audio player + outside quite) - still can hear the rubbing sound.

* I done all my M2 services at Glenmarie SC

For the absorber prob, are there for both V & R spec also? V & R spec absorber tuning different rite?

I understand that you and a few other owners have gone through a lot of effort and time in trying to solve the problem.
What I am trying to do is to provide suggestions, which you can take it to your service center and see if it helps. It doesn't hurt to try something new if existing solutions do not solve the problem.
Sometimes owners will have to be more proactive and learn more about their cars so that they can solve problems quicker, even if owners need to guide the service people to do their job.

Change mine to Hankook V12 Evo 215/45/17
Awesome control and grip..for the 1st 2 week it was great
but after that the tyre sound are very loud T.T

I think for us whom have problem wif
1.) AC burnt smell
2.) intermediate shaft problem
3.) etc etc etc

We are the unlucky one,I bought this M2 wif 3 of frens together,
2 of my buddy have none any problem till today T.T
I'm the only one wif Burn A/C
and the intermediate shaft problem just started recently....
I myself love the Mazda alot...awesome handlin and comfy..it just somewhat goes well
and suit me.

Bro you didn't even read my message, sent to SC for a fixed but problem still persist. is english not good enough for you?

We are pro-active already by telling them our problem. i even leave my car for nearly a mth at SC for them to diagnose. Do you want us to be like our fellow M2 owner whom had crashed his M2 due to this error?

i doubt you read all our message
