Flash to uk 2.51 sbf. The only available option for now

I kena once like that one night. And when I woke up, my battery was totally flat. Totally until couldn't ON even when it was charging. After 2+ hours still cannot switch on so I took out the battery and put it in again. It could turn on then, and the battery was charged 20% only, after 2+ hours.

One time also the battery went flat over night. But that screen lock was working that time.

I suspect applications running in the background that causes the screen lock to not work / deplete battery.

I also found out that sometimes my phone lags or even hangs. Probably the apps that I installed and run at the same time, especially the GPS/maps apps.

Tks for the suggestion. Tried that. RSD just says. Finished, rebooting the phone... PASS. And the phone remain dead. The volume up and power button will put it bootloader (I think, because if connect to pc then RSD will show its connected). The screen remains blank - bricked. Aishhhhh

i'm not able to download anything from that xda forum.

My superoneclick download from China site. After click root, need to check and uncheck the usb debugging mode a few times then it work.


For information, GPS really suck lot of battery power

Your firmware should be 2.51 right? Try flash again. Or it could be corrupted sbf file. Try download again

interested in rooting it, but i guess i'll play around with what i have first, and bored only root it, then brings in new excitement again, and maybe we'll get froyo after CNY, then more excitement again

after all, i played around with papago today...not as good as GMXT, but can't complain la.

How did u guys manage to root ur defy? Which app did u guys use? Z4 root?

z4root can only unroot. I use clockwork mod recovery process. But it's a bit complicated lol. Can use superoneclick

Z4root will work on 2.34 sbf if your phone comes from Europe. 2.51 can also be rooted now if you check previous pages.

Just rooted my defy using superoneclickfor2.1 but still in stock rom.
ATM cannot access Market, Gmail & Facebook with msg "A network error has occurred". Browser is OK.
Can anyone point me the workaround for this error.

Try disable data saver, see if it helps...

after root, then i apply the MarketAccess so my Market can see 'more'

Btw, 16 lyn Defy users now .. not bad
