Wow, the I/O is..

Anyways, I/O stands for how fast can the system read and write to the /data partition and stuff. Performance wise, its not really significant in terms of UI smoothness, but it does affect the load times of some apps.

Another way to further boost the I/O scores is via data2ext. But frankly thats cheating the scores

For example, this is the quadrant score of my HTC Legend with 2.2 and data2ext
Imagine if you show someone that but with quadrant standard..

P.S Can someone post a 2.2 Defy quadrant score? Bet it will be better than this.

calex, your cpu score is high also.. is that on official htc rom or custom rom?

That's with custom ROM, based off the stock 2.2 Froyo by HTC.

this is my first smart phone.. may i know how to turn off mobile network??

settings - data manager - data delivery - uncheck 'All mobile data'

mind you that if you enable Data saver, market will not work.

Unless you have the unlimited plan better be careful when using 3G. It will cost you a lot.

i tested the machine just now too.. the size consider to be small although not tat slim compare to other model like wildlife etc.. but the appearance look quite ok also...

motoblur is wat?? is it a theme?? cos when i play with it, din notice any affect on it or speciality of the interface.. look like nth special.. the colour of the screen look a bit pale compare to other TFT such like desire hd.. maybe need adjust setting again? it dun give a very fresh first look at the screen.. but i dun see any lagging open app or open browser.. i think worth for its price with its feature..thinking tomorrow gonna go grab one home perhaps

err, how many users now using defy?? maybe should create a user list?

u r right motoblur is the GUI by motorola n just exactly like wat u said, nothing special lolz.....in fact it is buggy and laggy. u will notice the short comings of it once you tried:

AWD launcher, launcher pro and go launcher lolz i m with go launcher

Actually, Malaysian Defy doesn't have Blur inside. Thats why theres no 'Blur' word on the back cover like in those you see on review sites lol.

how i wish motorola could employ federico (launcherpro developer) and then replace moto blur ui with launcher pro.

Ditto to that. Actually, they don't need to emply him, just contract launcherpro to make one especially for motorola, enough already.
