i guess it shouldnt be a prob to root 2.1 also..

but u still need to use the other method to have custom recovery, as v2.5.1 cant flash rom or .sbf directly..

HTC I don't know but totally can't compare with my Moto ZN5 loh.

it just like my wife's Samsung SGH-900 Omnia 1.

The video quite ok, even it is not HD but quite smooth and clear smile.gif

mine only comes with 2GB and I believe by standard they all come with 2gb memory card.. for me it doesnt matter as I have my own 16gb memory card.

battery life is way better than my desire HD.. i believe this device can last 1 and half day with heavy usage.

hmm it's not fair to compare defy against dhd as they are in different price range.. well let just i list down the advantages dhd over defy and vice versa.. imho...

DHD pros:
- bigger screen, better for web surfing, vids playback
- htc sense & htc social network integration
- integrated effects setting in camera mode
- overall, it feels smoother
- usb port at bottom >> car dock friendly
- lots of developers, best 3rd party support

Defy pros:
- i believe gaming is better on defy (based on my experience with my fav android game, asphalt5)
- low profile frame > looks small eventhough has 3.7" screen
- usb port at the side >> desk dock friendly
- sharp text
- smooth
- rugged look and water proof
- fits pocket easily during outdoor / recreational activities.
- better battery life
- cheaper.

dhd cons:
- poor screen
- the thickness. for 4.3" screen size, it should be thinner. somehow i feel my 5" dell streak is easier to carry than this one.

defy cons:
- bootloader locked!!!!
- doesnt support real custom recovery yet.
- usb port at the side makes it hard for left handed like me to type text with one hand

both are good devices. if u always carry ur tab around, maybe u dont need another big screen device.. or maybe u need one smaller, low profile device with great features and specs. but i am not going to recommend one over another~ tongue.gif

just to share defy capability at 1Ghz.. smile.gif

synthetic benchmark cant really indicates how good the device handles day-to-day operations. because it calculates mainly based on hardware and driver instructions.. while in fact, both hardware optimizations and software implementation are crucial in daily usage.

but at least we know how good Defy hardware is smile.gif
