Could be slowpoke.
The working superoneclickroot for 2.51 already out at xda. The 2.2 china rom also worked with camera
But I don't test it yet

The 2.2 china rom sound like ok to me. at least there is alternative in case Motorola cancel the official 2.2 upgrade.

Anyway, planning on getting it soon. So no risau2 about wet handset in rain / when going into forest.

Anyone apply the jit yet?

since we're all on 2.5.1, we cant flash to any .sbf straight away. the only way to get other rom on our defy is by using nandroid backup.

1) root and get cwm mod intro defy first by using this method

2) wipe cache and data

3) use this nandroid backup of froyo 2.2

4) flash defy_2.2_boot_only sbf via rsd lite 4.9

5) DO NOT wipe. just reboot.

done.

What do you mean by camera still black out? not functioning after rooting?

camera can open.. but u only see black screen. it's like u shooting at night without any light.

same goes to camcorder. but the sounds recorded fine.

the superoneclick cna be used on eclair 2.1? or only 2.2 with 2.51?
