Just make sure you do not get sand on the screen, no refund or replace for scratched screen.

Power amp. Not free though, but you can try it for about 14 days I think.

its not 100% usable at the moment, camera still not working i think.

also in xda they are working on porting milestone 2 / droid 2 global firmware into defy.

my advice, stick to stock firmware until those flashes are 100% working, completely stable and error-free.

I think 2.34 is quite ok at the moment if you can flash to it since it has less motoblur stuff.

BTW Sanosizo, how's your repair coming along?

Hi,

your defy comes with the annoying quickoffice appz? how to uninstall it? needs root access?

for sending in warranty purpose; if after rooted, do we need to unroot? to do this we need to flash the sbf file? is it out yet the official stock firmware for malaysia version?

Some info on the earpiece issue from xda.

"I spoke with a Tmo (USA) rep and they asked me to pull the battery and look at the small sticker towards the top of the compartment. They were looking for either a blue dot or “BP” in the text above “made in China”. It seems that if your phone has either of these, you are in the clear..."

Anyone can confirm local / Maxis set have that?

Hi Greenday,

I just use file manager app instead of the quick office app.

After you root there is an app to delete app but I have not reach that state to actually give you a guide. I am sure XDA defy forum will have the answer.

You need to unroot I guess and flash it back to the default sbf if you want to claim warranty. I am using Z4root so it has the function to unroot, not sure about you though.

Thanks jiangchen for the reply,

just hate the default crippled quickoffice that comes with defy tongue.gif i installed other office appz oredi and was thinking about tidying up and uninstall it as it is redundant

hmm malaysia set dun work with z4root and my concern is if later needs to claim warranty need to unroot which will be a problem without the original firmware to flash. anyone knows whether the ori firmware for malaysia set is out or not?
