Hi, I am very interested in Defy and the thing stopping me to buy immediately is the ear piece issue that I read about on Internet. Anyone here have that issue yet? Someone advice to wait for 1 month first. My current phone have similar issue so I don't want to change to a phone that may have ear piece issue.

Besides that, any of you guys benchmark your Defy with Quadrant?

I would like to know the benchmark for Defy out of the box? From XDA, it seems like there's some discussion going on what CPU it is using. Maybe the newer gen will be getting as stated CPU, where the current users there, they suspect theirs of higher end. A user from CN is getting much lower results than some base Defy user.

So wondering that is the benchmark for the default Defy out of the box for Maxis.

Some info on the earpiece issue from xda.

"I spoke with a Tmo (USA) rep and they asked me to pull the battery and look at the small sticker towards the top of the compartment. They were looking for either a blue dot or “BP” in the text above “made in China”. It seems that if your phone has either of these, you are in the clear..."

Anyone can confirm local / Maxis set have that?

Was at Sunway Maxis last Saturday. They still have unit there that day.

How to add picture from facebook to contact. Added facebook account but not showing on the account list.

Anyone successfully install skype on your defy? can't find in market search or even link send by skype website

1) Suppose to get Froyo on 2nd Qua 2011
2) New phone, yesterday usage, a few call and SMS, browsing(20 min), (40 min) games, 1 hour movie and 20 min GPS, 40% left after 24 hours. Hopefully it gets better as use for a few weeks.

For those still in stock rom, there's an upgrade to 2.59. Just check for system update. Will look at what's the different

I actually prefer go Launcher EX, but the latest updated (2.11 onwards) seems to eat up the battery fast. The version before that was OK. On their site, they are stating that trying to fix the battery drain issue. So now change to launcher pro.
Prefer Go Launcher EX for the horizontal menu, Recent use items and kill task build in.
