Hi boygenetic and avantasia, I wonder why. Surely, when you bought the player you want to use it to play BD, DVD or CD? Or even media files from the USB port. Or maybe you have got another BD player? Just curious. hmm.gif

Maybe you play for them a few BDs then they may get hooked.
Apart from playing BDs, I am using my Sammy to play my old collection of DVDs and music CDs.

Use mkvmerge to remux the movies again (thanks to andrewtst or ronald, sorry I can't rmbr exactly who it was for providing us the solution IN THE EARLIER THREADS) Then play them again. I had more than 10 movies which had this problem earlier which I can play on PC but not on the player. Now after remuxing them I can play all of them already.

Don't need to convert them to AVI.

Tick "Disable header removal compression for audio and video tracks by default" at options for mkvmerge GUI v4.4.0 before start remuxing.

I had similar problem with one of my .MKV file...remuxed with MKVMERGE 4.4.0 and 4.5.0 but still can't play. The same file plays fine on my xtreamer/pc though.

Somebody bought it at RM350 in Penang somewhere, look through the earlier posts here. Also check my post #344 here for the major differences between the Sony 370 and the Samsung 5500. Andrew also posted some comparison between the two earlier. Generally I find the Sony loads BD faster than the Samsung and the Sony has more default network contents, 17 vs 11 but no Twitter, Facebook and Picasa that Samsung has. But I find downloading the network contents rather slow for both the Sony and Samsung, better use your PC or laptop. The Sony is region free for DVD while the Samsung plays only Region 3 DVD but is hackable. Other features are more or less the same so it is your preference.
