i upgraded my player using a flash drive. to me its hassle free. quick and efficient. i didnt connect my player to the modem.

also, why not directly stream file from your PC to TV.
are you trying to have audio coming out from the player?
do tell, very curious.

I notice a disc compatibility issue with Samsung BD-C5500 recently.

My player firmware is already up-to-date and it can't play correctly my "Spartacus: Blood and Sand" original BD Disc 1 in beginning 2nd trailer and also 2nd episode of the movie.

The disc is play well in my another BD player - Sony BD-S370 without single issue at all and smooth.

yup.. true. both has its own pros and cons. by the way, i saw in the official Samsung website about this player:

HDMI® (V.1.4 with 3D)
With their HDMI® (V.1.4 with 3D) connection, Samsung Blu-ray Home Theatre Systems are capable of transmitting the highest resolution digital data in pure, uncompressed streams. This upgraded feature ensures that future-forward technology, such as 3D Full HD movies and games, can be expressed with purity and precision.

http://www.samsung.com/hk_en/consumer/tv-a...ail&tab=feature

if i read it correctly, 3D supports coming soon?

i think previously someone mentioned ..

to be able to play the subtitle properly ... u need to extract/download the .srt subtitle file in the same folder with same file name with the mlv
*
Able to connect my 2TB HDD, but it can only display the upper folder only, not able to display the movie file. Not sure why ?

BTW, can it support .ts file ?

regards
