Huh? Which ROM are you running on? It could be a ROM problem. Cause when I was using SD ROM the position I is quite accurate for me

you are using the T-Mo HD2 or EU-HTC HD2? Nothing particular will affect your SD card in this build anyway, be it you use data.img or not

Err, does your ROM have the size of 1GB or 576MB like all normal HD2 out there? T-Mobile version has a 1GB ROM which gives "us" some extra space like 400mb+ after NAND-ing. On the other hand, having a 576MB version, you definitely need data.img (at least for now, till they develop/realise something better)

QUOTE(Boy96 @ Jan 7 2011, 04:57 PM) u currently use what Android rom on SD? Iam using MDJ Froyo HD 4.6 and it bloody lags and suck my battery like no tomorrow I am thinking you have about 50mA on standby? (If you dont know how to check, download currentwidget from market). If its true, I guess its your WinMo ROM problem. I used to have high battery drain when I was using the other WinMo ROM. I then switched to Dutty Family ROM (as recommended by eNCOre) and battery life on standby was 10x lower (5-7mA). Well then again, it WAS again a history with Dutty, because right now its all about NAND NAND NAND~ Running on NAND, my battery goes as low as 2mA!QUOTE(ongdennis @ Jan 7 2011, 09:22 AM) jacksonywl, No, and my standby battery varies from as low as 2mA to 6mA (probably some background task was running, but it is very low battery consumption already!)do u using setcpu with ur nand rom? |

Huh.. that shouldnt be true. Charging through USB could be slow, but doesnt means it consume faster. For example, charging through port could give you 1V charge while USB only supply 0.5V. Could it be you have something running on background that you didnt notice? Even XDA there are people complaining their battery life shoot up after several hours usage, and then they realised it's their friggin wifi that is left on.

RAFDROID HD 2.1 is out!
Just for anyone's information, my phone has lasted more than 24 hours without heavy data/gaming. Only some texts and about 1 hour total of phone call. My point is, it can last quite long in standby! Downloading RAFDROID HD 2.1 TMOUS (no data2ext4) and probably gonna flash it tomorrow. |

I am also using 1.0.
1.0 is stable enough for daily use, but I am one that is always seeking for the better, the latest, and so on. 2.0 is data2sd while 2.1 support data2ext4. Read xda for more information about them, but for me, it makes no difference because I am using TMOUS which gives me quite enough of internal storage already XD XD XD |

no idea with it. I sync my contacts to google which I think is more reliable than FB. Because from what I notice, FB birthday sync is not accurate. Some of my contacts were early/late one day, some even by one month. I am not sure what causes this but I saw a lot of similar situation when I google it too.

Finally decided to try Gingerbread.
Flashing [14 JAN] Pure Gingerbread gpc_hd2_gingerbread_v4 [RMNET][Kernel: gpc#199] Added on January 15, 2011, 9:52 pmDone trying. Like the interface very much but the lack of HTCSense (after using HTCSense so long) has make it a pain in the butt for me. I couldn't find a way to sync facebook friends to my contacts, or is there a way that I don't know about? Meanwhile, flashing to [13 JAN] imilka's HD2Z NAND v1.1 now. Oh. I forgot to check that one, but I assume about 700MB at least. Its pure Android without extra UI so it shouldnt be too big compared to DHD.

In that case, about 500-600MB depends (can be bigger if the dev squashed the system to very lite build). Quite enough I will say. I also ONLY prefer to use NAND on its internal storage, not SD card.
--------------1.11AM-------------- Reporting in with the latest [16 JAN] Pure Gingerbread gpc_hd2_gingerbread_v5 [RMNET][NAND][Kernel: gpc#199] T-Mo internal available space: 744MB Smooth like a baby butt skin, for now. Usability and durability compare to DHD or DZ ROM, on hold till further report from me. Added on January 16, 2011, 1:57 amAfter using gingerbread, I am seriously considering of forgetting desire HD already.. its so smooth and fast I feel like I am free falling! Its an omg experience! The only thing is whether I can live without sense.. This post has been edited by jacksonywl: Jan 16 2011, 01:57 AM |

If you are a Leo512, minus off the extra space Leo1024 have and I think you still got approx 250MB. For bigger storage then use the App2SD by creating an EXT2 partition on your SD card.
All pure Android build is naturally smaller than custom UI build like desire HD so it naturally consumes less space too. Its so fast I am having a dilemma to switch back to DHD. The current issue I am facing is that in Gingerbread I have yet to find a way to sync Facebook to my Google contacts, which means no photo for my contacts. Not sure whether it is due to the build I am on, or it is widely known issue for Gingerbread. Nevertheless, fast and smooth in basically anything I do! Hope that in a short time the devs will be able to fix all the currently known issues. |

Though through some search it is said that there is app on market that could do the sync for you between facebook. Well, for now, I will leave with no photo for awhile to experience Gingerbread more

Other than the contact sync thingy, I think I can live with just Gingerbread. Haha.. Now only I realise what people meant by DHD ROM is heavy.. Once you use Gingerbread you can feel that everything about DHD is heavy. LOL. So heavy you need strength to use the phone XD
Who knows, I might just go back to DHD few days later after finish experiencing the "pure Google" experience. LOL. |

Yeah. Pure Google is an experience, not a true delight though. Starting to discover more and more "not so nice" things now. 1st, the call log is damn plain as well as the contact phone book. Call log only record when is the last call but not the duration. 2nd, GPS still isnt working fine for Gingerbread mod. And etc..
Well, give it a little bit longer and I will go back to Sense.. |
