benny, u mean if we change rom, we need to just replace the android folder, and keep all others so that all data in the previous rom is still there after we change rom?
i did that from mattc to mdeejay, but em.. i dont get all the previous data, and installed apps. for example messages.
any advise? thanks
NO. You misunderstood me. What I meant is changing another Android rom is just replacing the old Android folder on card with the new Android folder extracted out from the new rom file. All your apps and personal data is actually in the data.img file but you cannot just copy it over to another different rom Android folder. If you are following the revision of roms in a fix cook, some cooks allows you to keep your existing data by just replacing the system.ext2 file in the Android folder. Example, recently I upgraded my MIUI Beta 4 to Beta 5 - what I did was just replace the system.ext2 file - very easy , no need to go thro process of reinstall. Reboot phone and the new rom installed and all my data/themes/homescreen setups etc etc remain as beforei did that from mattc to mdeejay, but em.. i dont get all the previous data, and installed apps. for example messages.
any advise? thanks
You can always use Titanium Backup or MyBackupPRO ( use the paid versions ) and it is very easy to restore not only the apps but all your data plus apps settings. Just take less than 5 minutes to do it after you install a new rom. No need waste time reinstall apps one by one , follow by your email, RSS. tweeter , SMS, MMS ete etc settings. These 2 software will take care ALL your needs to restore all your apps/data/settings etc etc.
TIP : IF you are concerned about just saving SMS , use SMS Backup and Restore : 100 % perfect to save and restore SMS - best part it is FREE .
Best part I like this software your SMS will not be overwritten by newer SMS. Example I have 100 SMS in my HD2. I also have another Android phone, recently the Dell Streak, say I have 20 SMS. So if I want a full set of SMS in only either phone, what I did I just copy the SMS backup file which is in SMS Backup Restore folder on card ) over to the same folder on HD2. Then I launch the app in HD2 and choose to restore the Dell file. Now I have 120 SMS of both phones in my HD2 . Unlike other backup /restore apps this app PERFECTLY 100 % restore all IN and SENT SMS

hey guys, any of you actually using the hyperdroid v1.6 and know how to adjust the apps size back to full screen?
I did as the instruction on the developer page - untick compatibility mode @ spare parts. Though the apps returned to full screen but it seems like I need to calibrate the screen before I can actually use it. buttons wouldnt work unless i touch slightly to the left on the screen.
Anyone any idea? I tried reinstalling the android but it doesnt work.
I never try this rom . What do you mean fullscreen ? You mean you want the icons size back to original size ? The instruction to do this is in the first post of the rom - or you can check the startup.txt and just edit the font size figure from 180 to 240I did as the instruction on the developer page - untick compatibility mode @ spare parts.
