QUOTE(CRSSER @ Nov 3 2010, 07:40 PM) Can you be more detailed on your issue ? What do you mean " didn't do any other thing". I have mentioned in my post # 1 the steps. There are few important details you should do before you start:1. Your HD2 need to be HSPL 2. Format SD card using the tool I recommend 3. Radio version above 2.08 - make sure you install correct version ( if you have done it ) as I don't know whether yours is 0.50 or 0.51 ? If you have done the above , after you run clrcad.exe and haret.exe - what did you see ? At which part you see black screen ( this problem usually due to wrong radio) Added on November 4, 2010, 12:09 pm QUOTE(orangbulu @ Nov 3 2010, 10:47 PM) I just read that you can install android without HSPL, at the risk of having robot voice. Any other problems when installing android without hspl? Why don't you try and update us ? Can you give me the link about doing it without HSPLam currently on stock rom 2.10.531.1 radio 2.08.50.08 and tmous hd2 Added on November 4, 2010, 12:13 pm QUOTE(ic_boyz85 @ Nov 3 2010, 10:34 PM) Hello guys...Need some help...if i wanna put many android build in my sd card..how to make sure that the build didnt clash with each other..i mean now i'm using froyostone sense 3.2..but however when i wanna try load bangster or hd2froyo its just load up the froyostone sense 3.2.. What I usually use to do is I create another folder on my SD card to keep the other android builds. And for these android builds that I do not wish to use, I rename the folder to Android_bangster, Android-Froysense etc etc. The folder which you need to run the android must always be named " android". But I have stop doing such as I now only keep one build on the cardBtw for ur info the froyostone sense 3.2 android folder was put on sd with name android and bangster also hd2froyo with their name android renamed to bangster and hd2 froyo.. What should i do to make sure each android build boot separate from each other? Added on November 4, 2010, 12:24 pm QUOTE(XXQQ @ Nov 3 2010, 06:29 PM) Hi Ben, Some rom developers allow you to do it. It will be mentioned in their specifications if this is allowed. In the Android folder, open startup.txt file - check whether you have an entry showing the data.img size - if so just change the value. Actually what you want to do is of not much purpose cos you just want to save 512MB ?? Actually 1 GB is a good size to work with. Since you like to keep many build on card, it would be better to get a bigger size cardI learnt a lot through your articles here as well as your blog, thank you very much! Even since I started to run Android, I have got "addicted" to it and almost every week I will try a new build or updated build. However, my SD's space is getting lesser the more build I tried and keep, hence, would like to get your opinion whether there is any easy way to create 512MB data.img file instead of 1gb one? I do not play around with Linux or Ubuntu and hence knows nothing about them, unfortunately at xda they do require this knowledge to create/modify the size. Thanks in advnace. For Msia telcos, I noted if you have a choice use rmnet version instead of ppp versions. Make sure under setting/wireless network / mobile networks You have enabled data.

QUOTE(carmentee @ Nov 17 2010, 10:46 AM) dear benny Warranty is void cos to run Android , you need to HSPL your phone. the guy is who sell the htc phone to me ;( he said if i change mobile window to android my warantee will void. he said the android can save in the memory card. if want to use back windows just need to remove the memory card.issit true? i felt regret to buy from him. he never service me at all. just ask me attend class. that all ;( i know android have lots of pretty application. but i worry the warantee. i need your opinion. tq You can still run Windows as the Android is on the SD card. You need not remove the SD card . When you are booted into windows, just dont select the Android shortcut on the homescreen If you are buying your unit from any authorised HTC reseller, they will not officially entertain you on Android issues as it is not right and legally wrong for them to do it. The HD2 is meant to run Windows 6.5 NOT Android. Any help they give you is considered unofficial help. If you want to claim warranty, you have to remove the HSPL - it is a very easy process : Guide at : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=609477 To Remove HardSPL from your Device or Flash back a Stock Rom and Stock SPL for Warranty Purposes You can remove the HSPL by flashing an original SPL from microSD card OR by running the HSPL3 application (You need select 2.08.0000 in the choose screen). * You can also use the microSD Card method to flash back your Stock Rom and Stock SPL that you originally had on your phone* - Download a shipped Rom from *HERE* - Rename the extension to .zip - open it with winzip and extract the RUU_signed.nbh file to a folder - Rename it to LEOIMG.nbh and copy it to the root of a microSD card thats been formatted to FAT32 - Insert your storage card into your phone - Enter Bootloader and follow onscreen instructions to flash |

Some answers :
Screenshot app : Shootme Latest Android is Froyo 2.2 - plenty varieties you can installed Maxis3g/HSDPA : Same settings Astro File Manager access ONLY android files in SD card . The android O/S works independently from Windows Mobile. You just need Windows Mobile to boot into it Added on November 26, 2010, 10:30 pmFor those interested in the HTC Desire HD ( 4.3" equivalent of HD2 but on Android with latest htc sense UI ) - the launch yesterday at KL indicate retail price is RM 2299 and Digi will be the fierst telco offering it. Expect availability earliest by mid Dec , latest end Dec Those who have tried the Desire HD roms on the HD2 would have realized the new HTC Sense is a vast improvement with many new added features. However none of the rom cooks is able to get the camera functional ( a pity ) till now This post has been edited by benny888: Nov 26 2010, 10:30 PM |

Why don't you just tried it - you will have better answers to your queries. If you are unhappy just delete the Android folder and replace it back with the previous copyradio 2.12 works??? must hard spl??? work with stock rom ver 3? QUOTE(whatwhat11 @ Dec 3 2010, 05:49 PM) anyone copy the android rom into phone storage? Android runs from the SD card. It cannot be executed from phone internal memorydoes it've increase the performance of android if the android folder is store in phone storage? how to backup my official rom if i want to do so? Your official Windows rom is intact. The Android rom will not affect it in any way. You can always backup your Windows rom with either Sprite Backup or Sdp Backup. I prefer Sprite though. QUOTE(Boy96 @ Dec 6 2010, 08:45 PM) Wanna install ANdroid on my HD2 when I get my MicroSD card later, which android build is the most stable and bug free and the best looking UI? Different people have different needs on their roms. So cannot say which is best . I'd said most of the roms are stable, reliable ( except for the newer ones based on desire HD ).If you want a cleaner leaner rom , try those based on the Nexus. Changing roms is freaking easy. Just replace the Android folder on card.Oh, and anyone managed to install PaPaGo X5 on their Android HD2? Papago X5 works perfect so far on all the roms I have tested on the HD2 |

QUOTE(roticanai92 @ Dec 9 2010, 12:48 AM) You can recover all your installed apps and its related data using Titanium Backup ( just do not select the red colored files ). If you wish to recover your SMS/email - select only the appropriate red colored data files. Restore of data takes few minutes onlySome roms if minor upgrades will restore your data automatically after installed Some roms especially those based on Google Nexus will also automatically restore all your data even on a major rom upgrade ( whether is same cook or even different cooks ). You can also use MyBackupPro which offers selective restoration - that is you choose which apps/data you wish to restore |
