is the 512mb/1GB image affect RAM /performance or it was merely for program storage ?

This is for storage. Don't think it will affect performance unless you have it full. 1gb is a good size and should satisfy most users. I used less than 300mb

wads goin on with MIUI? the new one wont boot lol. well its time to let go my hd2 soon, desire HD is here =P

is it? plz correct me if i m wrong, because everytime i install a new apps to my phone, my internal phone memory got decrased. and i went into settings-> Application -> Manage Application -> Running on SD card, i dun see any application there

so i got the idea that it all went into my internal phone memory

I see from your sig that you're using phireMOD SkinnyEVO v1.3. is your data/mms functional...? i haven't been able to get mine to work even with adjusting the apn settings.

I cant install android on my hd2.. can't understand anything in xdadevoloper , any fast guide ?

This will show program installs into internal phone memory, any sd ext psrtitions if any and direct install to sdcard? It is not applicable for hd2 as everything is install on card. you want to check your actual memory download free app Quick System Info to check your memory both phone n card. Try delete apps n you will see sd card storage increase

hi guys, just wondering, which build are you guys currently using? i've been switching between mdeejay's several builds and they are all relatively good and i'd say the easiest and the most complete one out there but i'm having problem with the low in call volume.
would like to try others and see. any recommendations?

Before you boot Android must turn off the auto backlight and when your load in Android make the screen timeout 30 minutes

which auto backlight ?

What radio version are you using? Make sure is 2.08 and above

I learnt a lot through your articles here as well as your blog, thank you very much!

Even since I started to run Android, I have got "addicted" to it and almost every week I will try a new build or updated build. However, my SD's space is getting lesser the more build I tried and keep, hence, would like to get your opinion whether there is any easy way to create 512MB data.img file instead of 1gb one? I do not play around with Linux or Ubuntu and hence knows nothing about them, unfortunately at xda they do require this knowledge to create/modify the size.

Hello guys...Need some help...if i wanna put many android build in my sd card..how to make sure that the build didnt clash with each other..i mean now i'm using froyostone sense 3.2..but however when i wanna try load bangster or hd2froyo its just load up the froyostone sense 3.2..

Btw for ur info the froyostone sense 3.2 android folder was put on sd with name android and bangster also hd2froyo with their name android renamed to bangster and hd2 froyo..

What should i do to make sure each android build boot separate from each other?

I just read that you can install android without HSPL, at the risk of having robot voice. Any other problems when installing android without hspl?

am currently on stock rom 2.10.531.1 radio 2.08.50.08 and tmous hd2

Can you be more detailed on your issue ? What do you mean " didn't do any other thing". I have mentioned in my post # 1 the steps. There are few important details you should do before you start:

1. Your HD2 need to be HSPL
2. Format SD card using the tool I recommend
3. Radio version above 2.08 - make sure you install correct version ( if you have done it ) as I don't know whether yours is 0.50 or 0.51 ?

If you have done the above , after you run clrcad.exe and haret.exe - what did you see ? At which part you see black screen ( this problem usually due to wrong radio)

And for these android builds that I do not wish to use, I rename the folder to Android_bangster, Android-Froysense etc etc. The folder which you need to run the android must always be named " android". But I have stop doing such as I now only keep one build on the card

Added on November 4, 2010, 12:24 pmSome rom developers allow you to do it. It will be mentioned in their specifications if this is allowed. In the Android folder, open startup.txt file - check whether you have an entry showing the data.img size - if so just change the value. Actually what you want to do is of not much purpose cos you just want to save 512MB ?? Actually 1 GB is a good size to work with. Since you like to keep many build on card, it would be better to get a bigger size card

CRSSER, make sure you run ActiveSync.(go settings->other->USb to pc)
