hmm, I think its time for replacement =(

andyjyneo
I think its the data make the battery heavily consume, its better turn it off for night standby

yolk
when Im use doremon rom, the file listing is slower, perhaps it my fault setting, but I now stick on NDT MIUI anyway, the theme pack is VELY nice,

LOMOGRAPHER
A 4.3' devices does consume battery alot, u need to lower screen backlight , turn off gps & data when unused, for MIUI rom, 2 known best rom was from langthang and ladyboo

Overclocking depends on kernel, each rom come with own kernel but you can install another kernel IF the rom support it. You need to install SET CPU (rooted) to identify its clock margin.

andy
My latest finding finding NexusHD2 by tytung is alot faster than Doremon rom. Im so lazy to switch other rom atm dry.gif ..

LOMOGRAPHER
Good to hear, you'll love MIUI and its grand theme.

Anyway today I learn reversing USB tethering enabling Internet pass through USB!, very easy with NDT MIUI rom, very usefull when using internet without data plan & wifi & downloading through office PC tongue.gif

QUOTE(prolexus @ Oct 29 2011, 12:18 AM)
miui bro...specifically langthang's ndt miui. Highly customizable and very fast. I used sense and plain stock gingerbread before but in the end i always come back to langthang's miui.  Give it a try..you won't be disappointed.

Available RAM on fresh install is 250MB+, RAM management in 2.3.7 quite stable . With 160MB require partition, internal rom should be around 300MB+

QUOTE(mr lappy @ Nov 2 2011, 09:37 PM)
just a quick question, for people who are using NDT rom, how much space (internal) do you have left? or all space are from the sd card?

Beware with HD2 looksalike, they are using different hardware. They cannot use any HD2 rom & installing MAGLDR (for WP7 & Android). Ask the seller whats the info writing on Tricolor boot screen & define whats the semifault before decide it. Frequent MAGLDR / CWR flashing makes its internal Nand wear out.

Andy, this is my old post

There are way to reduce the risk
-Avoid reflashing when devices too hot,
-Use lower partition or less than 200mb rom, MIUI, Cynogen ok, Sense 3 rom consume alots of nand which increase the use of nand size
-Use EXT partition on SD reduce the risk

Anyway I got new very important finding for flashocolic people
HD2 "Awareness" Post Regarding Bad Blocks Affects Android

Its like unmarked BAD SECTOR in nand, this could happened in any Android nand, not just HD2,

Yup its cheap, but the status of the phone is unknown, could be the keypad is damage, usb port , touchscreen failed m etc, the result could unexpected. I suggest dont make a full payment, erm bayar separuh dahulu icon_idea.gif , once you flash and examine its condition, then you paid the other half thumbup.gif

tremendous96
Theres is a way to run android from SD method, look for "cherry pie" in XDA forum wink.gif

Im not able to elaborated but this might help
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread...ht=ppp+vs+rmnet

QUOTE
I'm not an expert on this but,

RMNet is the default interface Android uses connect you to data, internet, calls, etc. When porting Android to the HD2 it did just that however is seemed to be somewhat broken. It lost packets (data) when downloading/transferring. Basically, not giving you your full bandwidth.

This was fixed with PPP (point-to-point protocol). The devs implemented this because it allowed you to use your full bandwidth on your network (no lost packets). The downfall to this is it randomly losses its connection and/or locks up Android.

So you have to pick your poison:

RMNet - slow, broken data but reliable connection
PPP - fast, highspeed data but somewhat unstable connection

I personally prefer PPP, data disconnects aren't that frequent and are easily fixed with turning airplane mode off and on. Can't prevent the stalls tho.
