QUOTE(mdzaboy @ May 22 2012, 03:23 PM) what i found on maxis website mayb that is what most will do after the contract ends n the price revert back to the original RM218..How long is the contract? Do I have to pay extra after my contract ends? This is a 24 month contract offer. Upon completion of 24 months contract, you still pay the same amount of RM118. means after that still need to pay 118 after contract ended rite? if they will imposed back to 2xx for sure cust/user will terminate and change back to unifi..huhu |

QUOTE(Isky @ May 22 2012, 02:28 PM) LOL. Well, without any concrete evidence, it's all conjecture. But of course, you COULD end all this theorizing if you just let us know...I promise I won't tell anyone else its no use.. only the higher person in maxis is know about this... how about u ask directly to ananda krishnan?? |

QUOTE(soul2soul @ Mar 8 2012, 04:37 PM) Look under Fiber Internet Services , item no.6 6. You accept and acknowledge that Maxis reserves the right to leverage onto your residential WiFi modem to cater to the Maxis Hotspot service which may be accessible by the general public who are subscribed to the service. The Maxis WiFi Hotspot service does not increase your available bandwidth and will not impact your internet quota nor will it cause degradation of the Service performance, security or risk issues to you. Anyone any comment? QUOTE(numbertwo @ May 21 2012, 02:12 PM) M seems like pushing some config/settings into the Thomson router on and off... SoM has much control over the Thomson router...I doubt you are able to replace it with another personal router of yours. I was wondering why no one else noticed this. Searched this thread and nothing.I queried Maxis on their forums at https://forum.maxis.com.my/forum_topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3000 Feel free to see their replies on this as well some other common questions like public IP. Now you know what they will do with YOUR Thomson router, YOUR WiFi bandwidth and their T&C. This post has been edited by Saros: May 22 2012, 03:54 PM |

Will maxis use this for public hotspot? Then user connect to my modem will always get dc... wakaka |

QUOTE(ckh83 @ May 22 2012, 03:57 PM) I have one question regarding this. If you physically power off your router, and turn off the wall plug switch, it will not magically power on. That much I'm sure My modem isn't open 24 hour, in fact sometime only few hour per day. Will maxis use this for public hotspot? Then user connect to my modem will always get dc... wakaka Wether Maxis will send a technician to complain and force you to plug it in, I cannot answer. Please do join in the forum thread I posted above your post and pose these penetrating questions to them. However, if you leave it plugged in but turn it of... I don't know if it's possible to force it to wake up. For normal PCs however, I used to work on a computer that could do that if my admin forced it to wake up, back in uni. As long as it was plugged into the wall and the switch was on (but PC is off). Was pretty creepy to see it suddenly spin up to life. This post has been edited by Saros: May 22 2012, 04:04 PM |

QUOTE(DrPitchard @ May 20 2012, 04:58 PM) Yes, spot on!! Those who sign up now will enjoy the rate of RM118/month for their entire contract period. I'm using streamyx right now. How do i need to subscribe maxis home 10mb? Do i need to terminate streamyx together with existing phone line? The new fibre line will be installed by maxis or TM?To your second question, the 'Home Wireless Internet' is for Wireless internet and not through fibre optic line. It is an entirely different product and not the same as the RM118/month for 10Mbps. The product info for that can be found here: http://www.maxis.com.my/home/plans_wireless.asp Added on May 20, 2012, 5:01 pmYeay, at last, I have 2 stars to my profile....Junior member...LOL :-) |

I think dunt need as they run on different lines (copper & fibre)..but if you ald have maxis fibre, u wont need a streamyx as it is like a waste.. i'm using 1Mb streamyx too for quite no of years.. paying monthly rm88 (before adding phone rental n charges) |

Meaning i just simply need to terminate all of Tm internet and telephone line and i'm ready to subscribe to maxis home? No hidden cost right? Normally how many days after submit request/form they will install maxis home?but if you ald have maxis fibre, u wont need a streamyx as it is like a waste.. i'm using 1Mb streamyx too for quite no of years.. paying monthly rm88 (before adding phone rental n charges) |

If maxis request me turn on, i'm happy to collect electric fee / other fee from maxis. Since contract not state that i have to turn it on and make sure service available to others. |
