QUOTE(ryudell @ May 29 2012, 01:17 PM) anybody can justify this? whoever is using maxis home fibre can confirm? DrPrichard confimed it via email ;-) We should get someone who uses the 4Mbps or 6Mbps Home Fibre to confim..... even Unifi doesn't charge 6% Govt Tax

QUOTE(aerobowl @ May 29 2012, 02:29 PM) then what would be the nett price we need pay monthly IF we didnt make any call? can we omit the RM5 itemize bill? E-billing will get the RM5 waived (The Star's Letter to the Editor also highlight ISP charging for physical bills)

QUOTE(ryudell @ May 29 2012, 03:01 PM) we should be in a green world by subscribing thru e-billing, & save our pocket.. imagine rm5 x 24mths = RM120! just for itemised billing.. we can channel that waste to pay for 1 monthly payment Providing bill to collect payment is Business Expenses but Maxis chose to make it customer's cost

QUOTE(riz0n3 @ May 29 2012, 04:26 PM) just got my maxis fibre installed this morning. both maxis and TM technician came to install. TM technician came to do cabling and provide modem. Maxis technician came to provide phone, router and account details. Maxis are renting TM's infrastructure. So basically if unifi is down, maxis will be down as well. same goes to P1 and the coming soon celcom/digi home fibre. so far satisfied with the service and speed. no regrets Added on May 29, 2012, 4:27 pmjust got my maxis fibre installed this morning. both maxis and TM technician came to install. Maxis Customer Service called me to answer my enquiry for Maxis Home Fibre
1. No 6% Govt Tax for the Maxis Home Fibre service only. VOIP usage (> free minutes) will be charged 6% 2. Two bills will be generated : Internet bill + VOIP bill 3. After 24-month, it will remain RM118 or whichever new package you choose to switch.

QUOTE(petlu28 @ May 30 2012, 05:29 PM) After see so much question here, i have another question about Income Tax. My streamyx can deduct income tax. How about Maxis Home? Is it can deduct too? Any Internet access which is faster than 256kbps is considered as Broadband for Income Tax Relief (up to Year 2012 only)

QUOTE(Swordylove @ May 31 2012, 10:37 PM) Still thinking... whether to get or not. I'm already comfortable with TM and their customer service. With Maxis I'm a bit nervous with their billshock reputation and all. Also same boss with the notorious Astro. But this package seems too attractive for a Streamyx 1Mb user like me. Many things to consider... the call plans, etc etc... But tell me, the equipments that come with Maxis 118 package are only the dect phone and wireless modem router (all-in-one), correct? Or is it modem and wireless router separate? I ask this because I don't like having too many equipments and cables 'menyemak' in my house. I believe it's easier to scold Maxis than TM lah, if there's any problems. The louder noise you make in Maxis Center, the manager will "assist" diligently.... tested
