im a new maxis home fibre user so i get DECT (Cordless) Phone (Aztech E 310) and White color residential gateway (TG 784) plus a modem from UNIFI. From my understanding maxis bought a bandwidth from TM,so all the infra still provided by TM. When the installation, TM technician also came to open the port and set the UNIFI account for me. Because i remember when we do the speed test for first time, i only got 4Mbps. The Maxis technician asked the TM technician to check with their center have they set the account to 10Mbps? Apparently TM set my speed at 4Mbps at first. The maxis technician is only came to gave the phone and thompson and configure something in thompson so i can get IP from maxis. Maxis is totally piggyback the UNIFI.

You are right Swordylove. Regarding the quota they given Unlimited (until further notice) is make a bit confuse. Look like not worst IF we apply now then 1 year later they say quota change since we have sign up 2 years contract.

So that means 3 equipments la? phone, RG, and modem... not like what appeared on Maxis website... phone and wireless modem router (all-in-one). Can anyone confirm this? DrPitchard?
You're right la. If want to complain about a problem and it's TM's fault then will take long to solve the issue 

Looks like the latency of Maxis Fiber service to Singapore,Seoul and US is 40% lower than my Unifi VIP20(direct fiber connection).Maxis uses the same fiber infra but a different gateway?!

That means after finish install the Maxis Home we need go TM point or cancel before installation done?

Damn....Just thought of one major problem if I switch to maxis fixed line. 99% of the outgoing calls from my home fixed line were calling TM fixed line. That means no longer free call. 

If take Maxis Fibre, will it have the Astro channel also like Unifi HyppTV?
If yes, then can terminate Astro also lor....hehe

The is no such thing as MNP TM fixed lines. To evaluate the actual cost savings of rm30 between unifi and maxis home fiber more precisely,  one have to relook at his past TM homeline bill for free calls made to TM fixed lines nationwide. As we're all aware that 99% of all fixed lines nationwide are from TM. Switching over to non TM fixed line would means you have to pay for calling a non individual like offices, banks, government, non toll free helpline line maybank2u 1300886688 etc etc.

I am lazy to read through 8 pages so i'm going to ask here.

1. I am only 1 year through to my VIP10 UNIFI FTTH.
2. I want this as it is cheaper than VIP10 (and also unlimited)

Just submit form 1 hour ago then coming this Thursday come install. Really superb fast.

Just install this morning...however the speed is not stable ranging from 3mbps ++ to 9.6mbps

I believes the speed should be stable rite?

fibre cable should be more stable than wireless..
