presumably ur malaysian, hence quite forgetful.
only a year ago, android fones were non-existent but mkt awareness and sales had skyrocketed until de level it is now.
bcoz manufacturers like htc, sony, n motorola r not allowed to use iOS hence they must use de only other alternative, android.
even if android is inferior to iOS (not all but de most important thgs to de normal user), these brands didn't hv any choice.
using android as de base OS, these brands poured their best specs fones, spend a lot of advertising money to promote.
and the results is seen now. dis kenot be avoided.

but will dis trend last long? after normal users find it lacking, especially in user interface, battery life?
unless google manage to hires many ex-apple iOS key staff, i do not expect the expertise of android team to match apple.

and it is not same story like windows and macos.
unlike windows which had no competitors, in de smartphone mkt already have windows mobile, symbian (nokia) and webOS (hp).

for example, htc/sony/moto can easily switch to winmo7 and drop android anytime.

Er, okay.

Please tell me what is 'inferior' in terms of UI experience.
And show me proof of 'inferior' battery life.

Show some objectivity in your argument.

Let me start off,
I don't like iOS because of it's lack of homescreen widgets, I don't get my information provided to me at one glance.
In iOS i need to open up apps to view them, which is annoying. This reduces my productivity, especially when I need a quick glance at my schedule.

Widgets also allow me to have quick access to settings, turning on/off connections etc. iOS i always need to enter settings and toggle them there.

I like it that in android I can get true multitasking, in that in whatever app i am in, by pressing the home button I can have access to another app and return to the first one which is running in the background. This is especially useful when I need to search the net to find something and get back to the word document I was looking through.

For battery life, my battery life exceeds iphone's easily. With same usage habits.

Oh wait I forgot, I can buy spare batteries for android devices if I need to, unfortunately I can't change batteries if the iphone went out of juice, which happens more often than not.

u may refer to de other thread to read my points on de superiority of iOS. no need to repeat myslf each time and spoon-feed u ppl. battery life has already been proven by many of de complaints from my customers. again, i will not repeat myslf again.

wat type of info u can quick glance?
why u always need to have quick access to ur settings? do u frequently like turning on/off ?
ios4 also has multi-tasking.

why u need spares? bcos of weak battery life mahh... rolleyes.gif

i am getting annoyed by this apple fanboys..
the benefits of replaceable battery:
one scenario... in case, got emergency call to make, at outside, no battery, u can replace it.
If non replaceable battery??? die lo...

Simple as that. Good battery so?? infinite ah? won't finish ah?? sure will finish one isn't it? That what MYstombox is arguing.
and yeah la.. we know iphone 4 battery is no1. satisfy???
btw, want to know which phone has the excellent battery life??
is to do a research on it. Battery drain have many factors. Depend on how you use it. Like me, i can finish my battery just half day or in 2 days, IS DEPEND ON USAGE.
btw, research do shows that Apple iphone 4 is the best efficient power consumption, 2nd is SGS which quite close to it.
Please la.. Read more articles of those experts before vomit out those funny funny comment.

Added on September 6, 2010, 6:34 pmand please close the threat, I don't know why got a apple fans doing in android forum...

great, i found a wildfire end user here. Minds to share with me what is the app you already install inside and hows ur usage? Does the battery last you for only 1 day? when u said you need to kill task and restart , does that means restart the phone ? how frequent you need to do that.

My current n97 some times the touch screen just no responding when there is incoming call....
*
haha it does not last me a day for frequent calls and APN on the go...
I got quite a numbers of apps... about 15 of them now including games... it lags sometimes but after u kill the apps using advance task manager then it is better... yea sometimes lags a bit here and there like symbian, but still bearable... if you want lag free androids please get those top range, not lower range like Wildfire...
i never face really hang up b4 until now, *touch wood*, but wildfire serve me well...

No objectivity in his debates, getting rather annoying with his fanboyism.

I hope the TS can read through the smoke and mirrors from all this.
