QUOTE(ksc_3688 @ Nov 14 2010, 11:53 PM) about the pricing of changing battery, you can browse through GS and look for a member by the nick of crxr. his prices are reasonable and good service. thanks a lot! makes me feel a lot at ease about buying this phone changing battery would not lock the phone. only upgrading the firmware/baseband may lock the phone if there is no unlock available. |

QUOTE(makaveli @ Nov 14 2010, 11:57 PM) You are welcome to buy.Ask the seller to charge fully and then test it during COD. how much do u reckon the price should be for an iphone 3g 8gb that is as old as i said it is? and yeah, i did ask a price quotation from bro yezhacolic, and i found it to be a good price for the things he's offering.Play over with games, musics, and open up some apps and see. See wether the battery drains fast or not. If you want to negotiate with seller, turn on the battery percentage. If the percentage drop while you on that stuff, nego with him. Auto Restart its new to me. I dont think its hardware. Might be software problem. iPhone just like pc.Alot of registry, files running on the same time. Jobs claim 4x more faster, but user claim 4x more slower.... Alternatively you can view setting-general-usage. and yes,you can view it at Maxis Online. But only end of the month statement. Added on November 15, 2010, 12:00 am CRXR kinda expensive. Look for Yezhacolic.Cheap price he quote |

QUOTE(makaveli @ Nov 15 2010, 12:20 AM) i told you.he sells cheap.i order iphone 2battery from him. noted. thanks! normally lar, iphone 3g 8gb should be around rm600-800.due to the 8gb,some might down the price a little. But remember one thing, negotiate with the seller pointing out some of defect on that phone like battery, housing and so on. But dont over rated a person with that phone price thinking it will be cheap. |

I'm an iPhone 3G user with prepaid line. Tried to disable data usage by changing APN setting to rubbish but I can still connect to internet. How to solve this?

Special thanks to bro makaveli for spending his time to meet up with me and teach me a thing or two about the iPhone. Really helped me a lot despite himself being busy with academic stuffs. Most certainly an iPhone Club member to look up to

Called Celcom CS saying I want all my data line for my prepaid off (3G, EDGE, GPRS) even if it means I can't MMS. They said to call back from another number to assist the setting configuration on my iPhone.
I asked them, "I thought telco providers can switch off the incoming data from your side totally?" and he said from their side have to configure and from my side also have to configure. True story or typical Customer Service BS? This post has been edited by Rhadykall: Nov 17 2010, 10:52 AM |
