basically the main concern is when you plug to charge and it hangs. Have you guys try to leave it to settle down like lets say 5mins after you plug in?

Also usually under what circumstances? Fully out of battery that time or whenever plug in will be the same thing happen over and over again?

Try restoring to factory setting. Most of the time restoring can solve the problem.

I dont think you toggle off cellular safe lots of battery. Not that I’ve seen although it seems like there would be. If it truly disables the 3G radio then yes there probably is.Further, you have i88 plan. Just on it. As far as I know, no way to disable the prompt thou.

Reset network setting and you are good to go.

iTunes will backup everything included sms, contacts that you want.
In your iTunes, left hand side there is "iPhone name". Right click it and click "backup". After you upgrade to 4.1, follow the first step and select "restore from backup" instead of "backup". Good luck with it.

Yes, OS4 is supported in i3g. I recommend you not to upgrade to the OS. Lag until beh tahan. Top performance for i3g is @ 3.1.3.

Use custom restore.. Maintain your baseband lower than 5.14.. It should be alright..

Reset network setting or restore factory setting?

Reset network setting > setting > general > reset > reset network setting
Restore factory setting > Plug in your iPhone into your iTunes and click restore.

Im certain that your iPhone is a locked set. What you need to do is just for latest unlock tools to release. Nothing else you can do except using it as iPod for now. To use it as an iPod, you will need to JB it or using a universal sim to hactivate it.

Stay on 3.1.3 please. Many people has been complaining OS4 on i3g.

I dont understand. Normally iRec boot will solve the problem in no time. Bu then you have the another way, erase the host file in /hosts. Erase saurik server's ping. And restore again.

Checklist before proceed to the steps below.
1) Upgrade your iTunes to the latest ones.
2) Ignore any iTunes pop ups.
3) Upgrade new iPhone to latest firmware before "restore from backup" (Just a suggestion thou, you can ignore this if you want).

Two (2) methods are available:
Backup contacts via iTunes
1) Plug in your wife's old iPhone to itunes. Cancel any pop ups by iTunes.
2) On the left side of iTunes, right click "iPhone name" and select "backup".
3) Unplug old iPhone and plug in new iPhone.
4) Repeat step no.2 and select "restore backup" instead of "backup".
5) Done.

Backup contacts via iDrive Lite (download from iTunes store - FREE).
Its a free ware just search the app via iTunes store / app store. The function of this app is to backup your contact via Internet database. Will store your contacts online. Download it and just follow step by step.
