Hey guys, I'm currently having an Android and planning to switch back (yes, I had the iPhone before) to the iPhone because I'm sick of the battery life on my device.

May I know how good is the battery life when the 3G is left on ALL the time? My previous iPhones (1st gen & 3GS) had not had its data enabled, it gave me about 2-3 days worth of battery life on a single charge. But what about when the 3G is on?

I know there is some official stats on the internet but I'd like to hear from the users themselves.

Cheers.

Really hard to help without enough back story. Have you been using this iPhone 3G with Maxis all this while? Is this this the first time you've had this problem?

Are you sure you set up the sync right? You can find a comprehensive guide here to double check.

The problem here seems to be that after upgrading to iOS 4, the MMS service settings are erased. There are a couple of ways to fix this issue.

Reset Network Settings. Go to Settings > General > [scroll down] Reset > Rest Network Settings

Reset All Settings. Go to Settings > General > [scroll down] Reset > Rest All Settings

Check if MMS is turned on in Settings > Messages

Restore your iPhone using iTunes, and set it up as a new iPhone instead of restoring the back up.

Check if you have new carrier settings available. Go to Settings > General > About to check.

Find the MMS settings for your Carrier on Google, and set them up in Settings > General > Network > Cellular Data Network > MMS

These fixes should help you get going again with MMS.

The album art for many songs acts strangely. In portrait view, the album art for the songs are wrong. But when I switch to landscape (cover flow) , then it becomes the right one. Has anyone experienced this or know how to solve it? Thanks.

Is it possible to toggle numeric keypad instead of QWERTY keyboard optionally? In some apps I only have to input numbers, using the full keyboard is not as convenient.

Under IOS 4, Cellular Data Network only have ON n OFF and unlike Fw 3.0.x days where we can inputs the MMS settings etc.

For MMS, check under Settings/Messages and make sure your MMS Messaging is ON.

As long you have the latest telco carrier settings which you updated from iTunes, you should be able to send n receive MMS.

If the above does not work, follow omnimech instructions.

@-Teddy-

Sadly, there's no numeric keypad toggle option. You may have to adjust your usage the qwerty keys.
