does the ios4.1 work smooth on iphone 3G?

got my i4 and it seems i can't get back all those photos, smses, and calls that i had when i was using 3gs before - after restore.

care to share is that a norm?

mine exactly the same with my previous iphone when restore

meaning, u got back all those stuffs in your previous 3g/3gs into your current i4?

yup.... contact history, notes, calender, sms, photo

but my previous iphone is 2g la

hmmm dang....seems like i need to try and restore again.

im using iphone 4...so far not a single problem. But i have heard lots of problem with 3gs using OS 4.0.1...

i can restore all my datas on my iP4, previously using 3G...

as from last time during IOS4, i download after midnite.. like tomorrow is the release date. i think tonite would be able to download.

Completely forgot 4.1 going to be available already! HDR photos here I come!

Rumors iOS4.1 will be released on 8 September 2010 so guys u may try on Thursday and not now....

battery life short?

hell yeah if you keep using 3G, WIFI, play games

if you turn off 3G and use it for normal calling and sms, it can last you very long.

just for your reference, i switched off 3g and watched full 5 hours of movies non stop on the retina display with bluetooth on for streaming audio to my bluetooth stereo headset. from 100%, it dropped to slightly below 50%.
i say it's well acceptable for me. never tried using blackberry or android phone for same type of usage and duration, so can't make comparison for you.

have been using it for couple days
hmm.. the battery life doesn't impress me
but overall still great

you would need to sync it with ur itunes before u do any restoring..when u sync ur iphone with itunes, it backs up all your photo,sms, contact, settings, notes.

all u need to do is restore it back to ur new phone.

One solution might be the mophie juice pack. Instead of a case, you get a case with extra battery almost doubling your iPhone battery life. It looks quite ok, and might make a difference for power users.
