Hey guys. Is there a method to display contact nickname (if available) when someone is calling instead of the first name + last name text string?

Eg:

if (nickname_field_present)
caller_display_nick;

else
caller_display_fullname;

how u all transfer videos to your iphone? what software to use? most i downloaded from internet can't really work.

Use Handbrake. It even has iPhone presets. Very easy to use.

buy a leather case from capdase or any other manufacturer. with stories about its glass shattering after a few drops, i think thats the best way to 'protect'. but of coz, u can't really show off ur iphone 4 la. haha.

Apple is using Gorilla Glass. You could say that Samsung is imitating Apple with this move.

the facetime only can use for iphone with iphone ? unable to make video call with other phone ?

Just to add, gorilla glass is stronger and more scratch resistant, but NOT scratch proof.

That being said, I use my iPhone 4 without a case, cos I love the looks too much. Only bought a slip case, for when I need to put my iPhone in a bag etc.

transfer video or convert video?

for conversion, i use Xvid4PSP. Got preset for iphone, easy to use and no video and audio out of sync problem after conversion. can even embed subtitles into the video file during conversion

for file transfer, i use "iPhone Folders". Super easy to use and works like a windows exlorer

Guys, can you disable the alert notifications on the iphone? I understand that some people do not like the alert notifications as the message alert will suddenly pop up and show your message on the screen and it still disturb you while you using apps or are playing games etc.

But i was just wondering, if you can turn it off, how come some reviewers on the internet complain about it? why don't they just turn it off?

well i think can juz turn off like that... my ipod touch can maybe cannot turn off for sms etc

Another thing, do you get push notifications instantly from the msn app, fb app, twitter app, etc when your phone is in sleep mode?

nope.... my fon when sleep mode.. no notification at all..
including WhatApp and Facebook
