Guys, can you disable the alert notifications on the iphone? I understand that some people do not like the alert notifications as the message alert will suddenly pop up and show your message on the screen and it still disturb you while you using apps or are playing games etc.

But i was just wondering, if you can turn it off, how come some reviewers on the internet complain about it? why don't they just turn it off?

Another thing, do you get push notifications instantly from the msn app, fb app, twitter app, etc when your phone is in sleep mode?

Does push notifications work instantly for all the apps such as fb, msn, twitter, mail, etc when your iphone is in sleep mode?

Anyone here used a blackberry before? How does the push notifications for the iphone 4 compare with the bb? Does the push notifications come instantly like the bb? Need some advice here guys. Cos, i don't know which device to go for. :S
