Think full launch of Free to Play is on Sep 10 for the mean time you all can start downloading.. my installation folder with the 3 expansion is around 12GB!! but i think it will download the few starter area first and download the rest in background or something.

This game will have item shop. Means you can subscribe and get points. else you just play the free contents which is very much of all the game content of the first lotro release.

what kinship are you? maybe start a new char there me now in windfola with bro for the longest time >.<
hard to raid etc.. due to time difference.. only can do big raids on saturday night till morning

i was at aurora australis kinship before but kena kick out due to inactive for few month.

windfola is a new server right if i'm not mistaken?

about the raid every server also like this unless you play in the morning or midnight

6.62GB for standard resolution

12GB(?) for high resolution


Just make sure you have 14GB of HDD space for extraction and installation.


For server to join, Elendilmir have high amount of Asian and Australiasia players. I am in Casual Order, a MY, SG, AUS, NZ kinship.

thats the download size.. after installation may use up to 12GB i think.. i always copy my installation folder around so that the figure i familiar with ^^

hehe.. me and my brother also lifetime.. pricey at that time with close to RM60/month.. some more i working and play mostly on weekends.. >.< so spent my bonus on the lifetime account.

is your account founder? i'm not founder i pay $299 for lifetime sub.

i only play when i have the time or feel like playing, depend on my mood

Currently leveling up my lowbie Guardian and all i can say is the character selection screen is HORRIBLE! that is the only complain i have. Other than that, its a vast improvement. I am starting to love the new vault.

Think there is item from shop which you can use to boost the deed instead of doing it through quest.

guys i have a problem where my patch out of the blue forced me to repatch the whole dam thing and now im stuck at 32% and it shows my dl rate at 2.19kbps but not moving at all what to do.... ?

6GB only not sure if they sell out there.. and please dont buy the box version.. >.< as that is already obsolete. It is free to play now maybe can get from cd seller to save on download time but their version should be the old one so you still end up having to patch it which takes a long time too.


For those who are already playing and facing lag/latency issues then i would suggest changing dns to that of google. 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 . Reduce it alot for me

This game went f2p and it can only scrape together a 3 page thread here. Thought there would be more excitement.

I heard this game will be running based on a hybrid f2p model, meaning that non-cash shop user can still enjoy the game but with some limitations.

try dl the game from FilePlanet. Having trouble getting the game at main site cause the server is jammed.

Turn out i dnt want to waste my time grinding

trust me when i say there aint grinding for my play except on few occassion where i was looking for event items there are the Main storyline quest (Book Quest) to be done. Currently we are at Chapter 3 Book 2.

I dont understand why I got that low fps, I have 35 FPS avg at GTA 4 all high settings

*Even with Ultra Low and Ultra High the fps is capped at 5 :/

I guess when I detect it with Xfire it caps the fps to 5
Disabled xfire and I have 800 FPS

Yes this not much of a grinding game as i said... other games seems like alwiz have a higher level cap which takes longer and longer time to complete.. look at granado espada.. used to loved it.. then i find my self spending more on it than i would spend on "if i get WoW".. but somehow i got this lord of the rings instead good investment for my almost 1k from my bonus.. haha.. i bought the lifetime some 4 years ago at USD199 ^^

yes, most people solo at low levels. and lotro has recently been tailored to suit solo more. as are busy fellowing for the raids etc
