Sadly we're in Nimrodel hehe.. I have no idea why I chose this server since last year (when I tried 10 days Free Trial).. Impulse made me chose Nimrodel again ..haha..

tried it..can't.. when i use the "payment method"..I can enter the info.. but when I use "upgrade now"..can see all the details become ---- and under country became "UNKNOWN COUNTRY".. sighs...

yeah, I bought mine for 195 TP last week.. *cries*.. oh well..

Hmm.. anyone know anywhere that sells LOTRO : Mines of Moria expansion? Seems very hard to find the digital key nowadays.. and I wonder if there's still shops selling LOTRO box set.. hmmm

I got a reply from turbine support staff, says have to fax them the credit card info and whatnot to them. Have to wait for another reply from them.. forgot to ask if I can register 1 cc on 2 accounts lol....

P/S: Anyone buying the dbl tp point this week? I'm drooling at 6900 TP for USD49.99.. Then again, hv to clear up the credit card problem at hand.. MEHHH!!!!

Yeah, true about the safety reason but to email/call for every gifts is kinda annoying. From what I read in the lotro thread, seems like it (gifts etc) has to be done manually on turbine's side... Could take a lot of time for the transaction to clear up..




P/S: Got through finally (decided to gamble and call them).. it was a 20minutes on hold .. but sadly, I only have enough credit on my debit card to do 1 month subscription on 1 account .. The other sad news is that turbine operator said the subscription can only be done manually and even though the credit card info is already stored in the my turbine account. .. So.. anyone that wants to subscribe 1 month I suggest you have enough credit on your credit card before you call AND call on any other day except Monday (so the operator told me).. Mondays have huge waiting time...

Hmm? buy credit? You mean TP? Well.. granted using tp is easier but you have to grind deeds and even some areas you still need to buy quest pack... Compare and calculate buying with TP vs getting a 1 mth subscribe.. 1 mth is cheaper, you get to be Premium after VIP wears off, get 1 more character slot open, 5 bag slots, Traits opened (till whichever we have opened and equipped when vip runs out), 5 trade slot in AH, gold cap lifted.. etc etc and it's across characters in the account. Whereas the tp bought are only on 1 toon and I cringed to calculate how much TP you need to open all that

Oh yeah, you get free 500 TP when you become VIP too. That's a lot of saving on TP (which can be used to buy quest packs when VIP runs out) ..

Hmm well.. for now I'll hold off subscribing, I let my bf's account get VIP 1st (since most of his characters are already 33+, and ran out of free content). I'd wait till my main character is lvl 33, then I'd subscribe (hehe more trait slot woohoooo).. Don't get me wrong, it's not that we only expect to get everything from VIP status but we're trying to minimize the usage of TP and maximize the freebies we get from VIP status. This way, TP can be used for more important and expensive things such as quest & content packs later on.

P/S: Does my long and exaggerated explanation makes sense?

Oh, I already subscribed 1 month (after my credit card got a slight mistake) and had to call turbine again (I cringe for my phone bill next month ) .. AND I found a site to buy Lord Of The Ring Online : Mines of Moria complete set , digital key with 1 month free subscription==> MMOXE

It was kind of a gamble, not sure if I would get it or conned but it's only 14.99USD (~ MYR 47), so.. no harm trying. It takes 3 days for the order and transaction to clear up (which crossed with the lotro 1 mth subscription and made me had to call turbine again after putting more money into my debit card ) .. but I got the LOTRO : MOM expansion and used it on bf's acc (test on him 1st since his toons higher lvl than mine) and succeded. So, that website can be trusted as far as buying LOTRO CDKEY. There was a bit of a panic when I didn't receive the cd key in my email but after chatting to the live help on mmoxe website, they resend the cd key and voila. Now I ordered another LOTRO : MOM for myself

Nope nope, you're wrong there .. It was proven when my bf's acc status dropped to "Premium" when the credit card got a bit of a problem(fixed it after I put in some money into the debit card).

As premium (after VIP ran out)..these stays..
5 bag slot stays
unlocked trait slot stays (unlocked according to level)
character slot extra 1 (from 2 on free account to 3)
Auction House post 5 slots
Gold cap is only 5G (this one is as you say)

That so far as I remember. Which is why subscribing 1 month is a lot cheaper compare to only buy with TP. You have to remember that all the mentioned above is across all characters whereas when you buy with TP, the bag, the trait slots, etc are per character. Lets do the math..

Assume your char is at lvl 40. You have 9 purchasable trait slots.

1month subscription 14.99USD + get 500 TP free

TP for all the above: ( This is w/o the gold limit break since there are no 2 to 5 Gold limit break, only 2 to unlimited)

bag (495TP x 2) + trait slot (95x9) + char slot (595x1) + Auction post, 5 slot (495) = 2935 TP

Close to the TP amount needed is 2500 TP for 29.50USD, you still short of 450 TP.

So, my reasoning..

14.99USD (is equal to 2935TP x 3-assuming all char lvl 40 + 500TP free) VS 29.50USD (still short 450TP, and only on 1 character) WHICH IS CHEAPER?


Ahaha.. I'm one of the weird ones I guess.. been playing MMO since Hellbreath in 2000(can't remember exact year).. Funny thing is, I was the one that invite my bf to play MMO with me ..

Then again, can you endure your gf demands in online game? (get more money, grind stuff, help level, QQ about the game, get jealous when level too far apart .. etc etc etc)

Obviously I guess, if you didn't log in your character during vip.. should log in your character then

1 month is quite some time, shouldn't be a problem to log in your alts

Well.. it's only lvl 9.. you can delete and make a new character if you want.. and titles are not really that important .. just as airwind pointed out.... Just for bragging and personal satisfaction


P/S: My bf's character died due to "Death to Misadventure" before the "the Undying" title .. he has made 3 character and all never passed the level 20 survival title .. Don't have to worry much (unless you want the title..)
