you mean you purchased TP already ? if so, then your gold limit should be 5 gold now. here is what i prioritised when i started playing a year ago : get the mount aka horse - travelling on foot can be very depressing...lol.. the maps are huge. so if you can afford it, get the horse from lotro store. it will shorten the travelling time.

then as you play the game, you might want to get a new quest pack, or get your gold cap removed. that can also be done via purchase at lotro store using TP. you can go all the way to lvl 30 with the free maps available (bree, shire, ered luin, lone-lands).

early in the game, you don't need that much space in the bags anyway, so it can be done much later. just merch all the junkies often.

I'm planning to get some TP, but not sure the amount I need.. What you said gave me some idea how much money I should spend (if any) till i'm about lvl30..

So you mean to say there is No other way to get a mount Except thru the Online Store?

Thanks for the update!

The huge download size for the game can put people off (over 9gigs). I'd be happyto copy the game to anyone in Kuching. Just send me a message on here and maybe we can meet up somewhere. Just bring along an external drive big enough for the game, heh.

hey fellow LOTRO-ians,

recurring player. stopped for nearly a year due to other commitments. back to casual playing now. my gawd.. the updating part was freaking long.. biggrin.gif

anyways, recreated a new char

Server: Elendilmir
IGN: Ferirond
Class: Champion
Level during last logout: 14

Hopefully this time i will survive long enough to earn all the undefeated titles.. rclxms.gif

btw, would like to seek assistance icon_question.gif as i'm kind of a noob when it comes to MMORPGs. currently have around 100+Tp. any advise on what i should spend on?

would also be most happy if you guys can invite me into your kinship smile.gif

Added on September 7, 2011, 10:07 amshit.. just as i mentioned earning all the undefeated titles, i died in the most unspectacular way last night. i just completed the protecting the pipeweed farm from blackwolds. boy those guys were pretty tough with around 400+ morale. anyway, just at that point of time, i had a pretty bad stomachache and rush to the bathroom (damn chilli pan mee). next thing i saw after relieving myself was the darn grey screen with revive or restart option showing.. sad.gif

sigh.. i deleted and recreated a new character (same as above, except back to lvl 1 sad.gif ). looking on the brightside, i get to grind for more TPs

have a question though, if i were to get the Legendary edition of ROI, will that make me a VIP member?

Been meaning to post for a long time but I always forget tongue.gif

I have 3 level-cap toons in Elendilmir

Thurlandros (LM)
Roardoc (Guard)
Ulfi (RK)

3 other low level toons acting as mules. Been playing over a year.

Oh and 1 champ on Gladden, but I hardly log on there LOL

I am an officer in a small Oceanic kin that's kinda dead right now.
So look me up if you feel like it tongue.gif I usually play in the evenings and weekends.

Carry stuff mostly. You start collecting lots of stuff as time pass by. Crafting components, cosmetic items, rep items, barter items, house trophies... they grow exponentially as you level up. Some people actually buy a guild house just to get three storage chests.

But if you're a f2p/premium player, it makes sense to grind TPs with your alts too.

If you bought the Legendary Edition, you will be a Premium Member instead of the Free ones, but you wont be VIP. That I know for sure.

Btw.. add me up into your friends list later.. my IGN is "Wujian"

It turns out there are alot more Malaysian high lvl toon in Elendilmil.. wish there are more lvl20s people so I can have leveling up partners

For your first toon, I suggest Explorer. You can mine metal and gather wood to sell in the auction hall (as a premium player, you get 10 slots to use for auction). Crafting resources can sell for a lot, especially in the early tiers. I recalled tin ores with some ridiculous price. In-game money is needed as training is quite expensive. Mounts too are expensive, and you want one ASAP to speed up your questing. You can probably wait much later for a house - it is a vanity project unless you really need the storage space. With money from selling crafting resources, (ore and wood) you can buy good equipment from the auction hall. I do not recommend farming and cooking for beginners. Farming is really boring while cook crafters are overloaded by so many different types of components.

You can probably survive on quest loot till lvl 55+ -- just to remember upgrade them when you get something better. Only when you start doing Moria dungeons, your items become more important. For now get your class traits up as fast as you can. They can make a lot of difference, especially when grouping up for fellowship instances like the Great Barrow.

this is great information indeed. many thanks!!!

btw.. am thinking of spending a bit of those TPs on unlocking some trait slots. if i unlock one slot for 1 character, will this also affect the trait slots in my other characters?

Really? How come I only got 5 slot for auctioning? and I think I bought those 5 slots, instead of getting them for free.. or maybe I bought the RoI after purchasing the Auctioning slot? I'll have to check back on that..

Wow.. I was wondering what to sell to make money.. I would not imagine Tin Ore as the most lucrative item to sell.. Maybe cause everyone want to quickly level up and did not have time to farm the tier 1 materials?

anyways.. thanks for the tips, this is useful for me too..

I only have one character right now so I would not know about this too.. maybe I'll try creating a new toon later, cause I already unlock 2 traits slot for my current character..
