QUOTE(azizul1975 @ Aug 23 2011, 04:28 PM) you mean you purchased TP already ? if so, then your gold limit should be 5 goldĀ now. here is what i prioritised when i started playing a year ago : get the mount aka horse - travelling on foot can be very depressing...lol.. the maps are huge. so if you can afford it, get the horse from lotro store. it will shorten the travelling time. I'm planning to get some TP, but not sure the amount I need.. What you said gave me some idea how much money I should spend (if any) till i'm about lvl30..then as you play the game, you might want to get a new quest pack, or get your gold cap removed. that can also be done via purchase at lotro store using TP. you can go all the way to lvl 30 with the free maps available (bree, shire, ered luin, lone-lands). early in the game, you don't need that much space in the bags anyway, so it can be done much later. just merch all the junkies often. So you mean to say there is No other way to get a mount Except thru the Online Store? @moxxon > come over to Elendilmir server so we LYN group can play together This post has been edited by mad_geist: Aug 23 2011, 11:20 PM |

QUOTE(mav3rick @ Sep 6 2011, 07:56 PM) have a question though, if i were to get the Legendary edition of ROI, will that make me a VIP member? If you bought the Legendary Edition, you will be a Premium Member instead of the Free ones, but you wont be VIP. That I know for sure.Btw.. add me up into your friends list later.. my IGN is "Wujian" It turns out there are alot more Malaysian high lvl toon in Elendilmil.. wish there are more lvl20s people so I can have leveling up partners |

QUOTE(ItchyKlikFinger @ Sep 7 2011, 11:36 PM) For your first toon, I suggest Explorer. You can mine metal and gather wood to sell in the auction hall (as a premium player, you get 10 slots to use for auction). Really? How come I only got 5 slot for auctioning? and I think I bought those 5 slots, instead of getting them for free.. or maybe I bought the RoI after purchasing the Auctioning slot? I'll have to check back on that..QUOTE(ItchyKlikFinger @ Sep 7 2011, 11:36 PM) Crafting resources can sell for a lot, especially in the early tiers. I recalled tin ores with some ridiculous price. In-game money is needed as training is quite expensive. With money from selling crafting resources, (ore and wood) you can buy good equipment from the auction hall. Wow.. I was wondering what to sell to make money.. I would not imagine Tin Ore as the most lucrative item to sell.. Maybe cause everyone want to quickly level up and did not have time to farm the tier 1 materials?anyways.. thanks for the tips, this is useful for me too.. Added on September 8, 2011, 5:37 pm QUOTE(mav3rick @ Sep 8 2011, 01:36 PM) this is great information indeed. many thanks!!! I only have one character right now so I would not know about this too.. maybe I'll try creating a new toon later, cause I already unlock 2 traits slot for my current character..btw.. am thinking of spending a bit of those TPs on unlocking some trait slots. if i unlock one slot for 1 character, will this also affect the trait slots in my other characters? QUOTE(mav3rick @ Sep 12 2011, 10:44 AM) ok.. getting a hang of the game already.. especially crafting.. i should have gone with explorer.. Get the Legendary ones for the Full Monty..anyway guys, for the legendary isengard pack which cost, if i were to purchase it, it will unlock all current quest pack, but i will still need the MoM and SoM expansion packs to access Moria and Mirkwood right? About your crafting needs.. what do u want? I maybe able to provide you with ore since i'm an explorer.. and the guy that I usually dump my ore to is currently inactive right now.. contact me in game later.. @azizul1975 > any requirements to be in Aurora Australis? I'm still without kin |

QUOTE(mav3rick @ Sep 13 2011, 03:34 PM) thanks for the details. so the additions for Trollshaws, Eregion, Moria, Lothlorien and Mirkwood are questpacks right? if i do not have MoM and SoM expension pack, will i still be able to access Moria and Mirkwood locations? sorry for the silly questions.. need to confirm before i take the plunge.. What the quote meant was.. You Will Get All Trollshaws, Eregion, Moria, Lothlorien and Mirkwood without any other quest pack purchase.. so you will have everything you need to get from lvl 1 to 75.. a good purchase for someone who is just starting Lotro (like me!) |

QUOTE(snowfire64 @ Sep 18 2011, 10:17 PM) This game is quite interesting. Despite the normal grinding for levels, you won't blindly grind for exp. but for the traits too. Glad u liked it.. Send me a mail in game so I can add your name to my friends list Kinda dissapointed with the usage of TP for the riding skill and the swift travel locations. Anyways, I played mostly on midnight or ad hoc time during the weekdays. The TP for Riding Skill is not that steep.. its easy to get 75 TP.. about the swift travel unlock using TP, I dont rely on that so it doesnt bother me that much.. My play time is abit sporadic.. but usually u can find me online at midnight or just before that.. as my real life commitment allows.. |

QUOTE(mav3rick @ Sep 19 2011, 11:13 AM) finally met up with mad_geist ingame Ah shucks.. now I'm blushing adding to that, he really helped me out. gave me a lot of goodies which allowed me to achieved the undying Title. couldnt have done it without his help IGN: Ferirond Class: Champion Lvl: 23 Vocation: Armsman Hehe.. for real thou we would need each other's help to get thru the game so we need to help each other.. Mav3rick and me had been talking about how Lotro is the perfect MMO for casual player or gamers with jobs (and family and ++).. The F2P makes it easy to play and not worry about wasting money on subscriptions.. we can just play whenever we want.. go off and on again as we please.. To illustrate how casual I'm taking this.. mav3rick has almost equal me in level even thou I've been playing longer IMHO, Lotro is more toward single player experience.. there is no emphasize on getting into a guild.. and the Epic story line makes it almost as a single player RPG.. so far at least.. The gameplay is simpler, not as technical as WoW.. it lacks the sophistication and the thrill of combat in WoW ( I was a rogue - had to go behind enemy, backstab, switch weapon, do vanish, switch weapon, backstab again).. But.. u cant go wrong with F2P.. This is good enough for me to do some adventuring and quell my MMO gaming needs.. So.. this is an invitation to all casual and mature player looking for a new MMO to call home.. give Lotro a try.. Come to Elendilmil server and add us as friends.. we'll help you out as much as we can.. My IGN is "Wujian" and I'm a Ranger, vocationing as an "Explorer" |

Currently downloading using the client itself which is 7GB, speed around 70kbps,estimated time is 24 hours LOL |

In the meantime, I'm trying to patch some low level quest until I think I'm rdy for it. Then we should try do it together! I've just started my Lone Land quest myself.. I can solo them at lvl25, but more the merrier!Save my TP then |

I'm all for a LYN Kin if we got enough people.. and have some higher ups to back us.. I'd start one myself but I heard maintaining a Kin + house is expensive
And we can also make that chat channel too.. nothing stopping us there Btw.. Great gaming we had earlier Mav3rick and Gaeryn about the Guild Name.. I've no idea just yet.. |
