which server should i join ya?so that most of lyn active players can help me there

and what class should i choose?

I dont really have any to recommend you as I just start recently and I dont know what kind of player are you.
Just so you know, warden and rune keeper is for premium which require you to spend real life money.

Races are important too for classes. Cause every race have different pros and cons.
Exclusive class such as captain is only for specific race like human or what they call it in LOTR, "race of man" lol.

Classes:-
Champion (which probably similar to melee dps)
Captain (melee dps with advantage of buffing and can summon a herald companion (interesting))
Burglar (debuffing,stealth. like a thief.)
Guardian (Tank)
Hunter (archer,range dps)
Lore master (summoner, healer, range dps)
Minstrel (buffer, healer, range dps)
Rune keeper (sorcerer type/ healing o_o)
Warden (javelin user im guessing its a melee as well)

Ill go for Rune keeper , that is if I have money to spend (which I dont,yet) cause I like magic,range and heal
But because I dont have that money to spend yet, I went for Lore keeper cause I love any game that have summoner class and its a range,magic and heal.

Just be what you want Anything that interest you. Because if you follow people recommendation and it doesnt suit your playstyle, you wouldnt have any fun to play wouldnt it?

I think i will go for some melee class, such as Champ or Captain or Guardian, i like the coolness from bearing 2-handed weapon

Hehe, if you want to go for two hand, the choice is limited to only 2, which are the champion and the burglar as the rest are not capable of using two melee weapons at once.

Its either heavy shield(guardian) or light shield(captain) or use a 2 handed weapon.

looked fun ~~ but all the online game now required you to spend money only u can stand on top of the list ~

so for guardian and captain, they can't use 2handed weapon?

Its not like that louis. Its different in this game cause they give you free points so you dont need to spend money. F2P usually require that. But this is P2P and F2P. But what can we do. All games require money to help them maintain the server. Unless its an offline game. I too am hating this fact.

this game looks nice. i want to play it but i am quite surprised to see the 7gb file that i need to download.

can i have somebody to burn all the files into a cd and i just install it from there? or it is compulsory for me to download everything myself?

7gb for the normal res file. and 12gb for the high res. =)

I think you can. Maybe afterward got patch. Thats about it. 7gb took me around 1-2 hours.

They can use 2 handed weapons but not dual wield 2 weapons.

Ie: 1 handed sword/mace/axe/dagger/spear/hammer + 1 shield OR 2 handed sword/axe/halberd/hammer

NOT 1 handed sword + 1 handed axe

I hope this will clear your doubts.

yeah, as explained, you can obtain the point needed the lotro store by doing what we call "deeds" in the games, and you can repeat them over and over again on different characters... some people created characters specifically for grinding these turbine points....

and the items in the store doesn't make you much uber than the rest of the players either... it is much more on access to the game contents like quest packs , skirmishes, cosmetics, crafting...etc.... it is not like the "upgrade-your-gear" korean games.....

i am using yes4g now. can download it but it will consume all my data quota. if i can just get the installer, will be much easier hehe

1 more Q, if captain or guardian using 2 handed sword/axe/halberd/hammer, does this affect their skill, such as some skill of them requires shield to activate.?

Well, captains mostly use 2 handed weapons, and there's no such skill requires the usage of shield specifically. Also, captains can only use light shield which do not add much to captains damage.

However guardians use heavy shield and are more flexible as they have several stances which affects you when wearing a shield, and stances that compliments you when not using a shield. So, the skills activated depends on what stance you are using.
