QUOTE(faareast @ Nov 5 2010, 01:15 AM) I want to buy a new lens with my money, but I'm 19 lor. Student where to get that much money. My money also from my parents. Haha FX in the future with my own money Ohh btw talking about UWA, I really like the distortion made by it. Planning to get a tokina 1116 in the future. IIRC, kenrockwell said it'a better than Nikkor 1224, though the range is better |

QUOTE(celciuz @ Nov 3 2010, 10:56 PM) No idea, but the 50mm is just sub par lens among 50mm primes. LOL. aiteee. thanks dude! 85 f/1.4G is a seriously good lens. but the price is just too much to ask for isn't it. rather have the 70-200. ima get it real soon! Can't comment much, I only have a little 50mm f/1.8D prime lens. The other 2 are zoom lens. I like the flexibility of 70200 f/2.8 and especially the low light capability with VR, but although can hand held at slow speed, but can't freeze action well which is why I'm considering a low light lens, 85mm f/1.4G. Sure, these lens won't disappoint you... it is one of the trinity after all 70200 is a more flexible compared to primes. Downside? Heavier! QUOTE(FaezFarhan @ Nov 3 2010, 11:05 PM) True. The length and weight of the lens will make it more stable to hold IMO. My 2nd dream lens after the 24-70 yeah, it'll be nice to hold and will be more stable. but if used for day's event then it'll take a pretty big toll on you. time to buff up! 24-70 is awesome. but as i see, we're using crop sensors so unless we have an ultra-wide, 24mm doesn't seem wide enough. holding off till a full frame upgrade |

Haha I'm exactly 19 years old like you lor, also student somemore government university, parents can't sponsor me. Since I'm determined to get my own set of gears but without relying on my mum (mum only 1k+ salary and dad no longer here) so I worked during semester break and save money to get my gears ^^FX in the future with my own money Ohh btw talking about UWA, I really like the distortion made by it. QUOTE(razuryza @ Nov 5 2010, 02:45 PM) tokina also cannot. DX lens maAdded on November 6, 2010, 2:01 am QUOTE(faareast @ Nov 5 2010, 08:25 PM) guess what? im student also... and im 20... need my IC to believe? haha... and i worked hard to get money... and still studying in mech eng... i tried both. own 116, my frens gave me 1224 temporary as he sell his camera. review? btw, go and get the 11-16 and 12-24 first la.. then u tell me ur review.. i thnk i prefer tokina more. to my noobies eyes, it is a lil sharper then 1224. but the range 116 makes me a bit disappointed and feels like using prime as too little zoom. but 1224 has more vibrance and contrasty. F4 never give me a problem coz i have flash. 1224 also less distortion. with 116, even at 16mm, people tend to be taller and slimmer. yes ca be edit later... after all i never regret for buying 116. it is fantastic lens to me even i did try nikkor 1224.
