mem lost due to wrong RTL
u might wanna follow my 1st page for 4.2GHz. voltage and RTL. Just that ur dram I'm not sure whether it's able to stabilize at 2000 or not. dont touch the QPI link speed 920 is 4.8GT/s and dont simply change what u dont know. not everyone can do 2000, it needs time n patience. The best site to learn abt mem oc is i4memory This post has been edited by owikh84: Mar 1 2011, 08:05 AM |

irienaoki. what ver is your ram again, I dont think it's elpida any longer. if it's psc which is ver7.x then u might wanna loosen your tRCD to 10 or 11. if it happens to be from micron, which i cant remember what ver is it, then forget about 2000mhz

QUOTE(selfdz87 @ Mar 1 2011, 12:10 PM) erm...did u guys change setting for IOH,ICH voltage when do 2k mem?? no, ioh and ich are not touched at all. vtt doesn't need 1.6v unless your 920 is still c0/c1 stepping. when you're in the 2000mhz territory, subtimings are very very important. but at first you have to make sure that your rams can do 2000mhz, otherwise it's gonna be very difficult to get stable oc without knowing why your oc is unstable.or just leave it auto?? having trouble to get it stable... vtt already 1.6v...lol its normal on R2E i think... |

u only need around 1.4v vtt for 2000 ram . ioh n ich dont have to touch . if play above 210bclk then only play with ioh iinm . |

QUOTE(selfdz87 @ Mar 1 2011, 07:07 PM) owh...ok bro thanks... One thing sad about R2E is that it doesn't allow much adjustment on the subtimings. bro did you take a screenshot while you were running linx? if not, I would like to see a shot on your cpu tweaker and turbov showing all the voltages. I think u should try to loosen your trcd for a start, to 10 instead of 9.subtiming??which is?? im pretty sure this ram can do 2k c9 coz i do linx in diagnostic mode and it fail on 18/20 pass... need to adjust sumting in bios to get it more stable... vtt below 1.6 cannot boot up and BSOD even on 1.59v... this ram can do 1600 7-7-7-20 btw... Safest is 1.45v on stock cooling. if i were u, i will get a 2000C9 and tighten to C8. end of story. save Panadol. |

yea man .
even 1.4v is very hot already without WC . dat's 1 of the reason y i stop clocking and proceed with my project . finally grab the bits waterblock to counter this problem . no thermal sensor, and its already hot like crap ! |
