Well, some interesting results have come forth from this comparison. Basically, it does show that tight timings (low latency) still has a very large part to play in performance, but there is a ceiling to it. Most Winbond UTTs are only capable of hitting 250~255MHz stable, with lucky few surpassing that. As such, anything over 260MHz and tight timings would be very impressive in terms of overall performance. Quite easily beating 280MHz 2.5-3-3-6 and definitely beating 312MHz 2.5-4-4-8.

As for the medium latency vs high latency battle, it is once more obvious that tighter latency is what someone should aim for instead of the desire of 1:1 operation. That said, 312MHz @ 2.5-3-3-6/8 would in itself be fantastic and beat out most sticks out there, even the Winbond UTTs (maybe 270MHz 2-2-2-5 and above would stand a chance.
