Fantastic quote on your siggy choy! biggrin.gif

Scholes till he's 40? A bit hard I imagined. But certainly another few seasons is very doable if his fitness level, health and form are good. Same goes for Giggsy and VDS. I don't see why it should be a 'problem' to still have to rely on them. They are the top 3-5 players in their respective position in the history of the club and probably in the top 20 in the world?.. and they can still perform to a very good level consistently. It's no shame. It's a credit to the club and the players themselves to have been able to still produce at their ages when most players over 30 are almost back at the bottom of the mountain.

QUOTE
Tottenham Fail In Surprise Move For Manchester United Defender Rio Ferdinand - Report

It would appear that Harry Redknapp made discreet enquiries over the availability of Ferdinand but United boss Sir Alex Ferguson reportedly told the former Portsmouth manager that the defender is not for sale.

It is also believed that Tottenham’s medical staff have even assessed Ferdinand’s injuries and believe that they could get 100 games over two seasons out of the England captain.

That led to Redknapp being convinced that Ferdinand was the signing he needed but United are apparently not willing to sell.

Ferdinand was again on the sidelines as the Red Devils brushed aside West Ham United 3-0 to move to third in the Premier League table.

mmm a long shot but better prey that not many gets a call up is safer bet haha laugh.gif

as about rooney on form or not, some say scoring a pk doesnt count.so shall we look back last week when some of our lot were getting pissed at a pk miss.so when we score them it becomes unimportant, but when we dont score them suddenly its life safer, one off chance and etc etc.scoring that pk wont show now but, the main one who prospers from this is wayne.it would do wonders to his confidence in taking the next step to scoring more goals.its never a small thing when a forward scores, no matter wch way it came from.

if youve been watching wayne long enough, he always goes trough a dry period, but once he gets that one, the monkeys off and so is the persistent bother that he hasnt score.wayne is still our man for me any day.

I think Berbatov challenged for 50-50 balls more in this match than he did in 30 games last season biggrin.gif

he has the quality, technical skills, its just in the past his play lets us down more often.but there is a new vigour to his play this season, tho we only have seen 3 games its an improvement compared to the previous ones.

tho we havent reached the high stakes stage yet, and so far only 1 tough situation has passed(fulham last week) a more cautious approach is needed.he needs to prove his worth in those situation when we need him most.

here's to berbs being constant and not run out of steam early.
