Well doesn't mean the TDP rated 125 W all the time. I did a System Stability Test that stress all your system component to the max, the highest the power usgae by the FX 8350 was around 54 Watt using CPUID Hardware Monitor.

hmm after reading all the review amd still look no friendly enough with general used although i know benchmark result are hardly feel by regular user.

Hard choice between more core or performance BTW

if phenom mobo change to M4A87TD = rm189(nice mobo with usb3)
Phenom 995be is good too im still using it,rm329 now

MMO consider cpu heavy might want go to intel tho,hahaha but fx6100 and phenomx4 should be sufficient enough

guess core i3 3220 is another good choice.

yup...but socket death,lol i3 3220 do better in game,but application fx4100 win it,so...depends what he want lo~

ya 1st i was thinking settle with 3220 one but when news that 1150 will stop after ivy bridge make me think twice....

I hate when intel announce new socket than the 1150 M.board will phase out dam fast with cause limited of choice when try to seeking replacement. I been in this situation when using 775 socket.... (that the reason i using G41 although i got good oc CPU and ram)

Hi there fellow AMDians. I need some advice.

I'm currently thinking about changing my system. Just to give you an overview about how bad my present system is, here's the spec;
- AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400++ (2.30 Ghz)
- 4 GB RAM
- 1 TB HDD
- nVidia GeForce 7200 GS/7300 SE
- Asus M2N-E

Yes, indeed. It is a dinosaur PC. lol...

So here's the thing, I'm looking at the PC market, but its been so long since I've been "up-to-date" with the processors, especially AMD since those years. So, now I don't have any idea on how to look at AMD processors.

What I've been looking to build on are;
- AMD A10 5800K HD7660D
- 8 GB RAM

Are they both recommended? My usage pattern will be like;
- Sim City 5, Sims 3 (upon request of my sibling), FIFA 12, Football Manager 2013 & Internet usage
- On weekends, the pc will be on for a long time but not so long during weekdays

gt budget ezier la. haha... actually athlon2X4 did a great job in gaming.

Budget, I ain't got one but should be less than RM 2k. The bare minimum is that it should be able to play Sim City 5 and Sims 3.

Yeap, it was great, until one by one, the games started demanding more. Now, super outdated. lol...
