but it still under development...
it was said future PS3 will support both FAT32 & NTFS as well

But I think .mkv is a much needed format that should be supported by any sort of media player.

i've read it too

so far he's the only source... others no avail... hmm.gif

like ben said, it will affect bluray movies momentum... not sure what's Sony move next (i want them to announce instead of being so secretive all the time)

hi all... wanna ask.
why cant i see my mkv files when directly use usb pendrive connect to ps3?? actually cannot see any files at all... the pendrive filesystem is fat32.

another one, when playing video files from media server, sometimes the video i see got lag.. anyone can clarify to me??

press triangle at the usb icon instead of pressing O/X button.but the .mkv cannot play on ps3 and it only show as unsupported format. nod.gif

thanks dark_heart ... so from usb pendrive, ps3 cant play mkv file.

i manage to play the files from media server, but like every 6 to 7second, the video stop or like hangs for 1 sec.. very frustrating. Anyone know what settings can be done at media server or the codecs??? thanks in advance..

try set it to min.as for me i'll pause the video until it complete its buffering.or if u want u can use MKV2VOB software to convert .mkv file to MPEG which can be read on ps3.it also support DTS conversion.you can dload it HERE

Will fix all your lagging problems.
