Hi all,

I've just replaced the stock extractor on my Gen2 CPS with a Hotbits 4-2-1 (for CPS HB.EM 90-552-S) this afternoon. The rest of the exhaust remains stock, only extractor replaced.

Upon completion, my first observation is that the exhaust note is slightly more bassy during firing up and idle, which is still at the comfort zone. However, once you step on the gas, it sounds like a trumpet or more like a flat trumpet note! This is really beginning to bothering me.

I was told that it's due to new setup and that it will go away after a while, but I'm not that all convinced yet.

Has anyone done this same setup as well? Could you share how yours sound please? I really don't want to regret my purchase.

Cheers,
Les

Remove the door panel, then lower the window until you see the bracket holding together with the mirror. Then use mirror glue and apply some on it to tighten it. So far I don't see my customer waja cps window drop already. icon_rolleyes.gif

This is for easy and safe. If wanna 100% more secure, you need remove the window and apply the gum on the bracket then only apply gum on the bracket. But this not easy as will break the window if not doing correctly.

How about the performance? smile.gif

Maybe u need to change new bullet or s flow muffler to dampend the sound?

Performance has certainly improved because the catcon was removed.

The sound doesn't come from the rear exhaust, in fact it came from the extractor/front part. shocking.gif

BTW mine's a manual Gen2 CPS, not auto.

I am baffled too! doh.gif Seriously sound is from the front, not from the back so something seems wrong somewhere.

Anyone? Anyone use the same setup?

Drex, any experience like this when you install the HB.EM 90-552 4-2-1 extractor for Gen2 CPS?

The sound 'nyik2' & 'tap2' when driving at uneven road doesnt come from bonnet or 2 metal bar..it come from broken rear brake line bracket. lol...

user posted image

Tomorrow go to exhaust shop for repair..this bracket can straight welding back right?

But i wonder how it can break... hmm.gif izzit because i pull handbrake too hard?

Can no prob.
But having issue at high rpm. Kinda semput. Drex said due to not enough fuel to burn. Solution? Change to bigger injector (expensive, cant afford at all!!) or fpr (sangat cheap laugh.gif ). So next target is fpr laugh.gif

Well, for short review, really nice lower end i ever feel so far but abit semput at lower rpm especially after 6.5k rpm until rev cut.
I never realize this before but it's so easy to reach 100km/h in 2nd gear. Dunno if before this can do that also sweat.gif
Less vibration in lower rpm. Last time, got some vibration on my dashboard when i tried to accelerate.
Dont ask me about the fc bcoz for now, i enjoy the power so much. So tekan and tekan only. Maybe later i'll try to behave myself so i can monitor the fc.
But for now, half tank only get 160km doh.gif

That's all laugh.gif

I dont think your FC will differ so much..after i've done all my mods so far (still no ACP yet cry.gif )..the FC is still same if not better nod.gif
with leisure drive + 4-5x redlining i still can get more than 300 km for Rm50 ron95 petronas..almost same when stock previously icon_rolleyes.gif
