Ya sunderland is quite cheap compare to northrumbia. But northrumbia graduates have higher employment rate according to research. So u will be leaving to sunderland this year sept?

i applied for sunderland as well last year. got scholarships deduction for 1.5k pound sterling.

what concerns me is, my friend that just passed his diploma (around 2.6-2.7 cgpa) also got the so called scholarship.

sounds strange, it looks like the uni is trying their best to get student to study there. Just my humble opinion smile.gif

Added some malaysian students in facebook of that uni to ask around, they told me don't expect too much.

ended up choosing other uni lol.

the lower half of the pecking order of uk unis are fill with ex-polytechs and tafe's turned unis.......

full fees international students are highly sort after, as the fees help cushion the dropping state funding.......

from the perspective of fees paying students, with the amount of fees you are paying, it makes no sense to go to lower rank unis.....the top half of the table are full of good unis with equivalent fees...........

I ended up in University of Gloucestershire

though the ranking is not high, but the ranking of the particular subject im taking which is tourism management is number 9 in whole uk.

i agree with kael, it's good for those with slightly tighter budget to study in UK. After all, when we get back to malaysia, we do have a "UK certificate" smile.gif

for the budget wise, it is better to prepare at least rm10k-20k extra. what the agents estimate the overall price in uk is for really strict budget.

i see, i applied it last year before i got here in uk, might have forgotten about the scholarship thingy.

but it do really sounds like financial support or discount rather than 'scholarship'

why not think about northrumbia? I just visited my friend back 2-3 weeks ago and the environment and facilities are superb. and convenient for student as well.

northrumbia is under consideration but then 10k pound for a year...unless there is a scholarship like how sunderland works then it would be fine...

have you been to sunderland?...how does it looks like there? facilities and environment?

mikeblink182 : how much would you rate sunderland facilities after they showed u pictures...how does it compared to northrumbia

this is my question as well smile.gif

Im finishing my degree next month and going to look for a job.

Having an oversea cert definitely place you on the front of the interview queue but the rest depends on your own skill.
