i see rhlc can oc only to 4.25g with tpower i45. with insane voltage added.

Quad is hard to oc compared to Dual.
If you want to buy Quad, better choose a nice board tongue.gif

e7 series has a lower fsb wall compared to the e8 series.

hmm...depends on ur luck la... if u got a good e7200 chip... it can do 4ghz easy...

if u get a bad chip...it hardly does 3.8ghz even with 1.4v sweat.gif

i think u need P45 for 550FSB and above + some luck about ur FSB wall....

not sure though, max i go before is 500FSB, nvr go beyond tht... and also i never tried other board other than P35...

u dont need a p45 to do 550Mhz and above smile.gif You just need to choose the right board, even P35 can do 550Mhz and above smile.gif

mayb with higher vNB and Vtt ? generate more heat and more power consuming ?

cause currently running my yorkfield on P35 with 440FSB already need 1.53vNB and 1.31Vtt to make the system stable enough for long term usage, i guess P45 could easily reach 550FSB with relatively low vNB and Vtt...

got a E7200 to play for an hour... its not mine... tongue.gif doing 4.5ghz with minimal tweaks... and spi1m run... icon_idea.gif btw its a new batch.. just got it yesterday... batch # Q812A202.. smile.gif
