googling around, I found that this board should at least can do 400 fsb, push more bro brows.gif
i'm only using cheap G41 mobo, still able to push until 344 fsb (E7400 344*10.5 = 3.6Ghz), vcore@1.4V

haha... that's right. but need to change a great cpu cooler first.. maybe CM812 or noctua b4 go more higher OC and hyperX ram or corsair vengeance. nod.gif now i use kingston value ram only.. plus need to change to bigger casing also. my casing now is aerocool vs3. not good enough for airflow.haf-X
or CM stryker is better. OC is just not achieve a highest frequency, but u need to think all aspect that maybe can make ur system unstable for a long period..

from experience, that board's pretty inconsistent and imo not really suited to heavy oc -the ~340 fsb sounds about right though i'm pretty sure the oc's achievable with less voltage (1.3-1.35 range) blush.gif

but stock cooler?! shocking.gif

that board was never designed for OC purpose bro...
if you want a good OC mobo (775 socket) try find used P45 chipset. example :
1. ASUS P5Q Deluxe(600 ++ fsb) LINK
or 2. ASUS Maximus LINK (easily reach 600 fsb)

stock cooler as i don't need 3rd party cooler for such voltage + such clock.
btw this OC on this cheap mobo is just for fun smile.gif

G41 was never designed for OC. 333fsb is consider very ok already for that mobo
btw you can try find max fsb for that mobo,
lower the ram divider and cpu multiplier, increase the htt.

333 is stock fsb for C2D E8...

you should try yourself bro.
as i suggested before, try find max HTT@FSB for that mobo.

since that mobo can run 333fsb, you can start from 334fsb onward
increase the HTT step by step.

let say 335-->340-->345-->..............400
i doubt that mobo can reach even 350fsb... hmm.gif

I have MSI G31TM-P31 motherboard, I can't seem to overclock my Q9550 CPU, I'm stuck at 333 fsb.
Any more than 333 the system won't boot, and will give me an error message "overclocking fail"

But I remembered I manage to overclock my E7500 CPU to 3.5ghz by just adjusting the fsb. Somehow I have trouble with this quad core

The CPU ratio is also stuck at 8.5, I cannot adjust it.
Can anybody help me?

stock fsb for E75 is 266
E7500 @3.5Ghz = 333*10.5

stock fsb for Q9550 is 333, so you need better mobo to go beyond 333 fsb.
try find P45 used

maybe 333 is max fsb for your mobo
