OC is just not achieve a highest frequency, but u need to think all aspect that maybe can make ur system unstable for a long period.. This post has been edited by epyy: Dec 5 2012, 10:59 AM |

I find they can be OCed to 450mhz or so(DDR 2 900mhz) usually |

ASUS P5Q Deluxe(600 ++ fsb) LINK or 2. ASUS Maximus LINK (easily reach 600 fsb) stock cooler as i don't need 3rd party cooler for such voltage + such clock. btw this OC on this cheap mobo is just for fun |

I have MSI G31TM-P31 motherboard, I can't seem to overclock my Q9550 CPU, I'm stuck at 333 fsb.
Any more than 333 the system won't boot, and will give me an error message "overclocking fail" But I remembered I manage to overclock my E7500 CPU to 3.5ghz by just adjusting the fsb. Somehow I have trouble with this quad core The CPU ratio is also stuck at 8.5, I cannot adjust it. Can anybody help me? ![]() |
