Same. Both LED backlight. Both 720p HD. I don't see any different.

other models then? but, i'm sure dell with switchable gcard... coz, when it arrived initially i only saw integrated Gfx driver, then plugged the power only can see the gfx card... which model then?
*
I know one Dell notebook which behave like this but I'm not remember which Nvidia GPU it have. It is called Dell Studio XPS 16 (the one after Dell renamed the Dell XPS to Dell Studio XPS). Both GPU are Nvidia which of course when on battery the low-power (I means not powerful GPU) Nvidia GPU will take over. Current Dell Studio XPS is equipped with ATI GPU.

You mean SXPS 13 with nVidia 9500M GE?
or XPS M1530 with 8600M ?
*
Hmmm...I don't remember. For sure it is Dell Studio XPS but don't remember it is 13 or 16. I will have to ask my friend the exact model & probably a screenshot from Device Manager. Stay tuned.

The 9500M GE is Hybrid SLI of 9200M/9300M and 9400M....
*
I'm confident it is not XPS M1530.

SXPS 13 the one using nVidia 9500M GE
then later on upgraded to nVidia G210M or some country named it nVidia N10M...

I think the "G" one. I just remember there are two GPU detected in Device Manager. Yes, it is Hybrid SLI. You nearly there.

i can download MSI afterburner from Guru3d?
*
I have overclock my GT 335M with Core Clock 550MHz, Shader Clock 1320MHz, Memory Clock 900MHz. 3DMark06 benchmark score increased around 12%. FPS increased almost 50%. I haven't overclock it more than this but I believe it can go higher. I have read several people managed to overclock GT 335M with Core Clock 650MHz & Memory Clock 1XXXMhz.

u just slide the indicator in the afterburner to overclock?

Added on October 18, 2010, 3:14 amim thinking to overclock. but am afraid to overheat it.. what do i need to know before overclocking?
*
Yes, just use the slider & click apply.

GC will get hotter when overclock. So make sure you use cooling pad to help cool the GPU faster. When overclock, don't increase it too much. For example, normal Core Clock 450MHz, increase it to 480, then 500, then 520 & so on. Do the same with Memory Clock. After every increment, do system stability test, for example Everest System Stability Test. MSI Afterburner also have it own stability test feature. The limit should be obvious. When you run system stability test, your notebook crashed or BSOD, that is the limit or to be precise the previous increment is the best & stable for your GPU. Good luck. icon_rolleyes.gif It seems GT 335M have some kind protection feature. I did try drag the Core Clock slider to maximum, after pressing the apply button, the nvidia driver crashed & recovered immediately but GPU run very slow (throttling). Need to reboot for GPU run normally. Several people also has reported similar behavior. Anyway, don't do the same thing. It is not advisable. nod.gif

where can i download the Everest System Stability? so your max clock is 550 Mhz right?
Just search for Everest. You should be able to find it.

No actually. I just play safe by setting the Core Clock to 550 because I know it will work. It can go further.

If you're afraid, just overclock a little or don't overclock at all. tongue.gif

i overclocked my core to 520, shader to 1248 and memory to 820. Need for speed shift crashed.. :S

I have mentioned on my previous post. however. I tried only overclocking the core to 460 it jumped out too.. even without over clocking. with msi after burner on. it jumped out. closing the software fixes this. hmmmn...
*
If it is just "jumped out" from the game to desktop & you can resume the game just by clicking it at the taskbar, it is not a critical problem. Maybe annoying a little bit. Weird though. Like an application is launching at the background.

The overclock value is actually not too high, still can consider low for GT 335M but shift already crashed because of it. I hope it is just software (Shift) issue.

Sorry for the confusion. Everest System Stability Test only suitable for system overall stability test. For GPU stress test, use MSI Kombuster. Set global preferred GPU to Nvidia in Nvidia Control Panel.

EDIT: If your GPU is not stable, you will get either colorful artifacts on the screen, freeze or BSOD.

preset i use 32, texture detail high, car detail high, track detail high, motion blur medium and shadow detail medium
I use preset 108, windowed, V-Sync Off, Car Detail low, Shadow Detail medium, Track Detail medium, Motion Blur low & Texture Resolution low. FPS around 25-28. After OC, FPS slightly increased to 30-32. I found my GC run stable when OC it with Core Clock 550MHz, Shader Clock 1320MHz & Memory Clock 900MHz.
QUOTE(RedDevils88 @ Oct 18 2010, 11:19 PM)
and i feel that without overclocking. the FPS is higher at an average or 40 compared to overclocked, 30FPS
I think somehow Nvidia driver was crashed when you OC your GC. This may explain why your games "jump out". That is why you got low FPS after OC. I did try OC mine to maximum (drag the slider to maximum on MSI Afterburner), Nvidia driver crashed & GPU was throttled (Core Clock down to maximum only 405MHz). Rebooting notebook will reset it back to normal. The maximum we can set for Core & Memory clock are varied between notebooks. Thermal paste on yours might have run thin.

I believe this is hardware problem. You already formatted it twice, right? I recommend send it or call Asus support.

The "System information" seems weird after i updatte to 260.89 for A42JV.
There is no more Memory detail?i thought it is suppose to show "1024mb" or something similar?
Just click the "GeForce GT 335M" & you'll see all of the information about your GPU.
QUOTE(w33wawa @ Oct 21 2010, 03:15 PM)
And another screen shot is the driver come along with 3D vision software... but den why i open the application,it display "Primary display's adapter does not support 3D vision.
Is this normal?
The 3D vision only compatible on notebook with 3D screen or anyone who use 3D screen. For example, Asus G51J 3D can utilize 3D vision.
QUOTE(w33wawa @ Oct 21 2010, 03:15 PM)
Oh yes,i do uninstall nvidia previous driver, den use driver sweeper to clean my nvidia driver b4 clean install the new driver.
*
No need to use cleaner. Just double click the driver & follow on screen instruction. It will update the driver automatically. ATI & NVIDIA drivers is now more user friendly. No need to uninstall the old driver manually before upgrading to new one. Anyway, there is no harm done if you decided to do it manually. icon_rolleyes.gif

Any noticeable improvement after updated driver?

Yes, you can.

When playing NFS Shift it slightly increased 3 to 5 FPS more. Other than that no noticeable improvement.
