just bought this C6 to replace my aging 5800 for my father. 1st impression, the UI at least smoother than 5800.

QUOTE(ping0613 @ Aug 23 2010, 04:09 PM) swt..yup, abit slowpoke compare to others model. maybe since not much ppl care about it. the reason i open this thread is I saw some forumers disccuss their C6 at outside, so i open a specific thread to them for disccusion purpose, anything wrong? Plus, C6 only available at Malaysia Not more than 2 months, maybe the market not starting hot yet leh? I didnt say its wrong. I just couldnt believe u took my words seriously.dun ever try to compare the popularity of 5800 with C6. this is not fair at all. 5800 is the 1st touch-screen phone in Malaysia Nokia Market ,launch almost 2 years (C6 not more than 2 month, some ppl might still dunno about its existence), and function is good as well, surely will grab a lots of market attention, plus the price is quite competitive. Not all ppl like to mod their phone, including me. Due to ppl may just need a stable, functionable, reasonable phone. Phone modding is another way to unleash the phone to its full potential. That's my POV. Regardless, good luck TS! This post has been edited by Forgotten06: Aug 23 2010, 09:46 PM |

Hohoho...
GOOD JOB NOKIA... BRILLIANT JOB INDEED Now the 5800 community can grab the firmware, mod it and then flock for all 5800 devices. This would have made 5800 so much better. |

QUOTE(Eugene91 @ Aug 24 2010, 12:30 PM) i wonder hows the web browsing on the c6? I saw insuficcient ram comments hmm.. Im thinking of getting this to replace my n95 8gb... erm..i think most of the Nokia S60 v3& v5 phone (budget arround 1k, such as E72, X6, N97,C6..) having insufficient RAM issue. The free ram only around 40mb.Wondering if browser can access full websites instead of mobile? Eg: facebook? If only just for web browsing, is more than enough. If web browsing + several more apps runnning, then good luck. So far, Opera Mobile can access full website for most, like LYN, it show well. But facebook cant show in full view as PC. Insufficient ram issue is common in Symbian platform. You can try to uninstall apps or flash with custom rom for some performance gain. But there is no permanent solution.Wondering if browser can access full websites instead of mobile? Eg: facebook? Symbian's build in browser is crap.Opera Mini is goos alternative since it will sort of compress of the data before the browser display content in your phone. But like most of the mobile browser it will only open mobile sites properly. As far as I know for Nokia there are only Firefox(fennec) & microB browsers capable of browsing sites as well as desktop browsers.Unfortunately both is exclusive for N900 which is running entirely different OS(maemo). |
