Insua to Galatasaray most likely. Perhaps a deal for Turan could be on the cards?

nope some reports saying he is heading for Tot and some said West Ham....

but odds is saying that the deal is almost done for C.Cole (with Babel going to WH)

Is C.Cole better than Babel? I doubt so.

Chris Murphy:
Among the astonishing fact file about Paul Konchesky on Liverpool's website is this priceless piece of info: "Paul is brother-in-law to John Terry's elder brother, who is also named Paul."

Is not the first time we do stupid deal.....we just did one a few hours ago... Konchesky (money + our youngster)

I wouldnt be surprise to see if we did the same thing again (money + babel) for C.Cole

English player is just too overrated doh.gif

it's not a bad deal to get konchesky in....he's one of the proven left back in BPL..he play well with fulham...so why not he come here n prove himself at least for this season...since we still not get new owner yet..once we get the new owner..then we can talk about bring in 5 star player. i rate koncesky almost the same as warnock, insua, and wayne bridge....

Birmingham have confirmed the signing of Aleksander Hleb on a season long loan. Even their own website calls it a "major transfer coup," and I don't think they are far wrong. Alex McLeish: "Hleb is a top quality player - one who at one stage we'd only actually dreamed about really."

SOCCERNET SOURCES: West Ham have turned down an offer from Liverpool for Carlton Cole and Ryan Babel is on his way to Spurs.

What about in terms of being a targetman where physical presence is one of the vital qualities?
Bring Carlton Cole here!!! Though Ryan Babel has his own qualities, but due to the fact of only Torres and Ngog, we certainly do not have enough "strength fire power"...

very likely it will be a straight swap deal between babel and cole (though i think babel is worth more).

my money is on Carlton Cole as our new #11.

damn i really wished babel wouldnt have to leave. (he'd rather go to west ham for more 1st team football instead of spurs).

and sounds like iinsua is off to galatasaray.

and in the meantime, welcome to LFC Konchesky #3.

btw, if carlton cole signs, would it mean joe cole's jersey willnow be
J.COLE #10? pity those who bought COLE #10 early

seriously, a midfielder > a striker right now ?  doh.gif

for yr info, babel and pacheco are mainly wingers/ 2nd striker. kuyt has succesful turn into a right sided midfielder/winger. while gerrard best position is still cm while he's good as 2nd striker. we still have cole meireles poulsen lucas spearing. what we need now is a striker, as we only have torres n ngog, and the latter is injured.
*
Kyut most effective position is still in striker department, he can score vital goal for you.
He is not good or known best in delivering crossing in. Not mean to discredit or criticise.
He is useful for his workrate especially when playing defensive time against much more big/better team.
He is the one chase after opponent GK, waiting some chances in front of goal, (like opponents make mistake, GK spill the ball etc. which many time, Kyut has scored such an vital goal for the team).

Against WBA match, we can see clearly it is the midfield area problem, Gerrard and Torres upfront is helpless without any supply and creativity pass from midfield.
They have no control on midfield area, nor have splitting passes or movement that dismantle opponent defence.

Poulsen, Lucas, Spearing until now are not known as attacking midfielder, or midfielder that can dictate that pace of the game, or creativity like Alonso and can deliver accurate passes to upfront.
They are more a holding midfielder.

Torres has pace, he needs splitting passes , quick passes, accruate passes for him to score goal, and take advatange of his pace to beat opponent.

Just my view.
